    1. Riveting and unpredictableOnce again, Anne Baker has written another engaging novel. Her characters leap off the page, coming to life with pathos and humour. I couldn't figure out who Rosie's true father was until well into the novel. I adore this author.

    2. I really enjoyed this book. Kept going right to the last page. Anne Baker has done a great job and I would recommend this read.

    3. I just love this author.i feel when i read her work, i am also getting a history lesson. This book was relevent and to the point showHow underhanded money can make people'. How back in the day children were thrown awayeat writing and subjectis was the second story I have read gfro!m

    4. A good readA great book but like all of Anne Baker books the endings feel rushed and you don't get to know what happened to all the main people in the story

    5. Brilliant right up to the end , a fabulous read and a wonderful story 5 star is not enough From the start to tell end it kept my on the edge of my seat I could not put it down .
