    1. My expectations were way too high for this book, it let me down in more ways than one. Staring with the ridiculous title, are they suppose to be any bad boys in this book? Maybe I glanced over the characters cause the book was extremely boring and trite. It is one of those books that I regret that I believed the hype surrounding it. I don't have a clue what this was about, no character made a lick of sense to me. One part it was about a strained relationship, but who were the characters? Opps I [...]

    3. I've read this book a few times and in all honesty I'm not quite sure why. It's not the best in a literary sense but I think that sometimes you just want to read a book because it is nice more than anything. This novel allows a cynic of all things romantic to indulge in little romance and enjoy it for the nice ending and nice characters. Nice, being the operative word, not brilliant.

Lo so, lo so, chiedo troppo.

    6. I have to say that The First Wives Club was by far her best work, and all of her other books including this one fell short. The story is about Tracie and Jon who have been best friends since college. He’s your stereotypical nice guy nerd who has it all except love. She’s your stereotypical female who falls for the bad boys and is friends with the nice guys. In a desperate attempt to win girls over, Tracie agrees to transform and train Jon to be a bad boy. However after successfully turning hi [...]

    7. Another Veeta's recommendation and I looooved it! I know it's kinda cheesy, flat and predictable for some people. But well, it's kinda story that could be happened in our daily life. And reading this novel felt like watching those Hollywood's romantic comedy movies.

    9. After reading 'book club books', this book seemed really silly. I felt it had no substance and not much character development. It was hard to feel anything for the main character, Tracie, when even the waitress at the restaurant called her an idiot and she was dating Phil solely for his looks. And really? This smart, nice-looking guy, Jon, waited for her for seven years and commented that he even loved her earlobes? Not all that practical. At least they could have made Tracie succeed at writing [...]

    10. I had high hopes for this but I think it was of its time 2002 and tastes have moved on from then. So the two stars is rather mean. I might well have given it more than that if I'd read it ten years ago. What I liked - there were moments of real comedy in this. My favourite was the climbing wall - hilarious. The section at baggage claim was funny too. But I wished there had been more to laugh at. In fact, there was much that made me rather sad. For the lack of a proper conversation too much time [...]

    12. No heavy reading here. No highbrow story line. But a fun, light read perfect for a trip or a day when you need the literary equivalent to a hot fudge sundae. It would make a great romantic comedy movie.

    13. Definitely, may be! The book is very predictable. However, still the characters are refreshing. After I had lost this book and found it after one month, I couldn't forget the characters. I could relate the characters very much. Moreover, Molly is awesome. A fun ride!

    15. Yes, I really enjoyed this first novel I've read by Olivia Goldsmith so I'm glad I took a hunch on her and bought four of her novels. Her characters were likeable and not too over the top plus the storyline was different from any of the others I've read so far (at least as far as I can recall). Not that the ending was different to what I would expect fromt this genre. As I was reading I began wondering how I'd feel if I wasn't presented with the happily ever after ending they all dish up. What w [...]

Ambos s [...]

    17. This is unquestionably "chick lit", which I do like from time to time, but this fell totally flat for me. I didn't like either of the main characters, and found the plot concept silly at best. The writer's limited attempts at evoke sympathy totally failed; I found myself more disgusted by her characters than interested. I absolutley couldn't stand Tracie ever, at any point in the book, and didn't care for Jon much as the book progressed. Several people seem to change drastically at one point or [...]

    18. I read this years ago and remembered really liking it, so when I found it in e-book form I was thrilled. I didn't like it as much now as I did then. Still a good book, but oh how I wanted to smack Tracie and Jon.

    19. A fun, predictable read -thank goodness cause I needed something this light. It's about two best friends for seven years, a girl who always goes for bad boys and a guy who is a complete nerd. On a crazy thought, and a hope she might turn it to her advantage, the girl agrees to transform the guy into the bad boy he so desperately wants to be, a bad boy all the women would go for. And she succeeds. You can guess the ending to this one. But still, as predictable as it was, it was fun to read it. Af [...]

    20. 1.5 STARS"Jon is Mr Perfect - handsome (in a nerdy sort of way), caring, lots of money - so why can't he get a girlfriend? Even his best friend Tracie always goes for bad boys; because women secretly love BAD. Jon's desperate, but Tracie can help - she can teach him the Bad Boy Rules. A sharp haircut, cool new clothes and a complete attitude transplant later, and Jon's the man of the moment. He can have any woman he wants, and does! But now Tracie's not so happywhile her girlfriends are all figh [...]

    21. Write a reviewOlivia Goldsmith is always dependable for a gtreat read, and has done it again.Great Summer reading, with many laughs.A little predictable but still fun, learning how Jon became the 'Bad Boy'.Jon honestly became a sleze bag, literally, but someone who had no sex for so long, really did make the most of it, like any man would.A disappointment, how Tracie, turned her bestfriend into every womens nightmare. This book may teach you never judge it's book by it's cover because you really [...]

    22. Do women like bad boys? Can a good guy turn into a bad boy? That's what the book is all about but I guess you can get an idea by the title. If you're into surprises you mat not like this one. Bad Boy is the kind of book that gives every hint of what is going to happen in the first pages. You may like this one if you- enjoy love stories even when they are predictable- are looking for something fun and easy to readYou may hate this one if you- don't like chick lit- espect big twists and surprises- g [...]

    23. Not impressed! I had read First Wives Club many years ago and remembered that I had enjoyed it. I can't say the same for this story. Tracie is a writer for a Seattle newspaper. She goes out with a 'bad boy' - which in her vernacular means that he's not very intelligent, is narcissistic, has no discernible job and treats her poorly (of course, he looks good and he's pretty good in bed). She is also best friends with Jon, a nerdy guy who doesn't dress very well but he's kind. To make a long story [...]

    24. It's the same author of the Wives' club, but the plot seemed a lot more interesting than it actually was. - Guy is a nerd and asks for friend's help to become attractive. She is a journalist, secretly writes a piece on him while she 'trains' him to be amazing in bed and a girl magnet, while she fences off her own lazy drummer boyfriend and pathetic excuse of a boss. A bit of the whole Creation over creature, that Jon easily becomes a womanizer, and Tracie is too oblivious for me, and the ending, [...]

    25. Best friends who are all losers in love. The women are only attracted to jerks aka bad boys, and the guy is just too nice to be attractive. So the guy begs his best friend who is also female, to teach him to be a bad boy so he can stop being such a loser. The main characters were too losery. This is my 3rd Olivia Goldsmith books and I won't be getting out another, unless someone can recommend me one like The First Wives Club.

    26. Didn't like it because she (our heroine) was an idiot. Like she completely changes him and then starts to notice him and develop feelings. Which would have been fine if she had showed even a inkling of attraction to him in the beginning. I really didn't like her. She was a shallow idiot. Plus there friendship just seemed hella one sided. I just don't like it. Okay I have to admit there's something about the ending I really liked. The last few chapters saved it for me.
