    1. I thoroughly enjoyed this Pertwee era adventure. It had aliens that might be benevolent, or might be trying to destroy humans. It had humans as warlike and not to be trusted (so different to the Greatest Species EVAR in Tennants era). The play was a mixture of narration and drama, which worked really well in this case. The narration being switched between Katy and Richard. Katy did a wonderful job as both Jo and the Doctor. Many, many times listening to this I forgot that it wasn't John doing th [...]

    2. The Lost Stories was a very hit and miss range. While stories were typically developed with the usual Big Finish polish, I rarely came away from them with any sense of loss. The Mega is one of the few cases where I did.The story is perhaps not one that would have revolutionized the show. We have had seemingly benevolent aliens already in this era, most notably in The Claws of Axos, but this worked really well for me because of its strong themes and the wonderful way the story plays on the Doctor [...]

    3. Preachy 3rd Doctor story with a twist - an invective against Weapons of Mass Destruction except where there is no alternative.
