    1. Given To Me For An Honest ReviewPost-Tribal Shamanism: A New Look at the Old Ways by Kenn Day is a real must read. Once you open it it will grab you and you will not put it down until you finish reading it. When you finish you will end up reading it again and again. Kenn shares the teaching of his grandfather as he shows how to incorporate shamanism with modern day society and Western culture. The techniques he teaches he has used for over thirty years for both himself and his students. These te [...]

    2. I read this book in pretty much one sitting a few weeks ago. Kenn Day has the mastery of communication andmetaphor making things so clear and simple you wonder why you never thought of them. This short simple book illuminates some very key issues that no longer exist in thecurrent culture (hence the title): community, community soul, ancestor soul group, celestial soul from the indigenous shamanic perspective. Which for me clearly connectedright into and explained to me Egyptian notions of ka, ba [...]

    3. Very well done. I've met Kenn Day many times and this reads how he speaks. It adds to the teachings and draws out understanding to hear his written words flow like speech. Content is top-notch, highly recommend this for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

He is though, very clear that these techniques do not in themselves, make you a shaman, but can provide 'life-enhancing experiences and real [...]

"no book or workshop can make you into a shaman.ming a post tribal shaman requires the talent, the call and the training from which the necessary skills may be developed"That line alone got me hookedExplaining in depth the role and purpose of a shaman in today's modern society whilst still retaining the essence of the original shaman. More importantly, for me anyway, Kenn draws on his own experiences and practices in the art of shamanism including sharing a lot of his techniques for the reader t [...]
