    1. Destiny is charming, full of spunk and sass. It is not hard to like her from the very beginning. She is smart, down-to-earth, easy-going and completely out of her element at this new school. She is immediately drawn to Liam and soon learns that this is no ordinary school. The small group that she is placed in are far more special than the rest of the students though, they are an elite group with special skills that need refining as they each come into their own. This is a complicated story with a [...]

    2. I just finished reading "School of Shadows" yesterday evening. I couldn't put it down. I seldom read a whole book—typically I read nonfiction and scan for specific info— but this book drew me in with strong characters and a suspense-filled plot. Under girding the plot is intriguing paranormal information dealing with demonology and the study of angels: but the theological and known historical background gives the tale an uncomfortable ring of authenticity that will leave the reader asking, " [...]

    7. Review forthcoming on a-reader-lives-a-thousand-liveI received a copy of School of Shadows from the First Reads program in exchange for my review.Destiny has always been a little different, but after the death of her mother she becomes even more so. Now invited to attend an exclusive school she meets other people who are just as different as she is, but none have caught her eye as much as Liam. Liam has grown up believing that no one has ever loved him, and has been trained to follow a darker p [...]

    8. A very interesting mix of Christian fantasy and theology "School of Shadows" involves Destiny, a teenager being raised by her pastor grandfather. She was orphaned early by her mother's death and has had an "imaginary" friend visit often growing up, that she referred to as Prince Charming. She is a sweet, insecure, overweight girl. She is a great character and very likeable and real. She has the opportunity to attend a special school. It's at this school, life changes! She learns that she is spec [...]

    9. I really did love this book. I know it had some flaws not fleshed out enough characters but I thought it was fun and interesting. I am not super religious but i really had no issues with the Christian tones in fact I thought this was a cool fresh take on the whole angels and demons theme as well as a supernatural training school theme. It could have been more detailed and elborated on at parts, but it really didn't bug me. I still felt connected to botht he characters and the plot I was just bum [...]
