    1. First read March 2009, Re-read August 2012I am slowly but surely making my way through Anne Stuart's back list. She is just so good! I really enjoyed Heart's Ease which is an early Harlequin American Romance. This book reminded me of what got me hooked into romance when I was a teenager. It was fast paced, emotional, and I finished reading it in one sitting. There were somethings about this book that didn't make a ton of sense (Meredith's character and why she saw Cassie as her mother for one!), [...]

    2. Feels more like an early Linda Howard than like an Anne Stuart. The hero is a jackass for most of the book, then he passes on that crown to the heroine at the end.

    3. I just couldn't like the hero. After telling the heroine, to her face, and right after they have sex, that he neither trusts not likes her (even if he is falling in love with her), he blames her for running away and proceeds to move on to multiple other women. I really would have liked him much better if he'd stayed celibate or chased after her immediately, rather than waiting two years (and taking a rather unpleasant other woman with him). The heroine managed to stay celibate for that time, but [...]

    4. I swear I think Anne Stuart is a magician. Nobody else can make me like a hero who I would otherwise despise. Bram is truly an ***hole. This story was quick and fun and reminds me of all the romances that I used to sneak from my Mom's bookshelf when I was a kid.

    5. Tell me this. Let's suppose a woman loves a guy and the guy loves that woman and the woman knows that the guy is basically a caring person cuz he's been looking after his mentally questionable unstable sister and then keeps news of her pregnancy (by him) from him after she's run away from him when he'd said he loved her (yes, he didn't trust her but he said he loved her). Then, the guy finds out accidentlyy about the baby and sits with the baby in his arms and CRIES his eyes off. Also, he's mad- [...]

    6. Once again fooled into a Harlequin title because my library hardcover looked mainstream. Kept reading it, liked it, stayed up late to finish it. I thought the protagonist was a bit of a jerk - I'm talking about the female here, people - but I don't think it's right to rate a book down just because the characters don't follow your moral code. I didn't find either of them particularly relatable, though. My complaint is when modern day characters - no matter how intellectual - say things like "good [...]

    7. Couldn't really get into this one so I just skimmed. It didn't seem all that different from any other secret baby story that I read, manipulative other woman included.

    8. Loved it and truly enjoyed it. It was well written and perfectly formed. I loved characters, especially the hero, heroine was very selfish and childish, but one can make mistakes and think that made the right ones. Beautiful love story and I recommend it to all.

    9. wow! this is a refreshing, intense, extreme, eccentric type and many more things all the characters are well written and both main leads- Bran and Cassie were just perfect for each other. Everything about them, their chemistry and all was very believable and intense. And it really scared me what Bran would do! he just has that thing going for him.lovely story and I enjoyed the Oregon sand dunes and I also loved her house.s very beautiful story. must read for all romance story lover

    10. I'm not sure how I feel about Heart's Ease. It's dated. I wish Cassie had stood up for herself more, but I know it was written in the 1980s and social expectations were different. Unfortunately, I kept thinking about how Cassie should have gone to human resources, a lawyer, and so on. In the end, Heart's Ease made me grateful that I live and work now instead of then. I'm really thankful to all the people that worked so hard for the rights that I enjoy.

    11. Cassie O'Neill is falsely accused of tampering with lab results and fired. She has two loyal friends who don't believe a word and one, Meredith nearly dies in a car crash Her friends brother picks her up from the airport when she drops everything to be with Meredith. Unfortunately, Bran believes Cassie guilty and only puts up with her for his sister's sake.

    12. heronya agak minta dijitakman Anne Stuart somehow still makes him lovablesetidaknya heronya ga senyebelin hero2nya DP laah>.<endingnya sweet. Anne Stuart emang selalu bikin hero yg membuat kita ngiler tiada hentiii

    13. Usually Anne's hero are blackhearts with tainted history but I liked them all.But I cannot say with the hero in this one. He is boring, and just over the line and just pathetic by the end.Plot was not that great too specially the child story.
