    1. Episodes 1 - 4 - 2 stars. As much as I wanted to really like this; it was kind of hard. I would have liked to see more depth to the characters and the plot itself. A little hard I guess, because the book is a short read, with following episodes to follow through. Fingers crossed the following episodes will turn around. This is a Kindle serial series, with new episodes being delivered on a weekly basis.

    2. story was so-so. not bad at all, just a bit simplistic and predictablemething other bothered me more. language!if you pick up a historical anything youd expect it to have a authentic language that was used in the period as well as characters to have a correct mind set. like, not the kind we have now. other than that, there is one thing where this book shines. sex! lollots and lots of sex done from every possible angle in every possible situations. very hot juicy sex done in great detail:=

    3. Meh. This book was way too modern. Spilling the beans? Using "Goddamn" randomly? groin? and "Wait a moment. Back up a step!" Those are just a few examples. If I am reading a novel that takes place 1247, I want it to feel authentic. The characters did a lot of thinking. I got tired of reading their thoughts. I wanted more dialogue, at least, the meaningful kind. The beginning sucked me in with the plight of Aurora, the heroine and her struggle with her dastardly and cruel uncle. This was the last [...]

    4. This book was awesome!!Honestly one day I am gonna just say that let the rest of you figure out what I mean. LOL but that would mean me not giving my complete opinion and we all know that would be impossible.Seriously though, maybe because it was originally written in serial format, but this book was absolutely brilliant. There were no lags or dull moments. The entire book captured the reader's attention and made you interested in every moment.Taking a break from her Dragons and mystical knights [...]

    5. A wasteSorry I spent the money to buy this drivel. There was more sex than plot. I stayed the course to finish it and finally got some semblance of a real story in the last few chapters. Don't waste your time or money. I try to give everyone a second chance but the only way I'll try another of this author's books is if it's free.

    6. Medieval Erotica?Sensual cat & mouse game between the hero & heroine. Macabre one with the heroine & her uncle. Just thrown into a surroundings of medieval with not necessarily the sensibilities of the period nor virginal shyness. As well as several other inconsistencies & editing problems. So if you want a little period detail in your historical romance probably not this one.

    7. While traveling Brute runs into a vixen. The vixen runs away from the brute only to end up in the same place. He can't seem to get his vixen out of his mind. With the game to win her, they both end up tied up in the same net. Love wins in the end.

    8. Excellent start to the serial written by Coreene Callhan. As with her other books, the characters possess a sense of humor and jump off the page. Looking forward to the future installments.

    9. A warrior with a heart. Great book, loved it. It left me wanting more! I am anxious to read the continuing story of Brigham and Auroura!

    10. 4-4.5 starsThis was a really good story. I liked Aurora and Brigham and was really drawn in to their story. It was interesting and engaging enough that I had trouble putting it down until I was done.Aurora is a Lady but due to bad circumstances (both her parents dying) she's been taken in by her uncle who treats her like a slave. He and his wife find any reason to beat her and even make reasons so they have an excuse to do so. One night when it becomes clear that her death at her uncle's hands i [...]

    11. I feel like a good chunk of this book wasn't needed and things between Aurora and Brigham were annoyingly repetitious. I liked the beginning though. Aurora was being abused by her evil uncle so she runs to her best friend. She meets the big scary warlord and sparks fly. She's compromised they get married, uncle doesn't give up, scary warlord happens and then mega happy ending. Not bad really, just boring. I also found it really irritating that Aurora literally forgot about everything whenever she [...]

    12. I ended up taking my time reading this book, as I did not enjoy this in the end, that I end up putting this down for quite some time. The beginning of the book started out OK, but as the story progressed, I liked it less and less. And like in almost every other story in this genre, it always ends more or less the same.

    13. Good readStrong complex characters and a solid plot with good fast paced writing. Since this is from several years ago I have to assume there are. It of h Dr. Looks coming in this series. That's unfortunate, as there are certainly support characters who would be strong as main char a Ted's.

    14. Pleasant readPassionate love story. Hero marries heroine to protect her from her evil uncle. As their love begins to grow, danger ensues. Several grammatical errors in e-book but able to read through them.

    15. Loved storyI loved this story, the only thing, there is too much detail. Too much scenery, and not enough talking. Most of the book was looking and thinking. I prefer more talking in my reading.

    16. Warriors revengeGreat read. Loved the characters. Action does speak louder than words. As our lady come to realize when feeling are involvedwords are not always necessary.

    17. Decent plot.Likeable charactersBrigham was all alpha My only complaint the story dragged, I started skimming.

    18. THrough Episode ThreeOriginal Post 7/16, 2013fangswandsandfairydustspoSERIALLY YOURS AND LOVING ITSo, other than frantically, toe-tappingly awaiting the release of episode three to see whether Aurora cowers or conquers the scariest dude in all England, Lord Brigham de Mornay, how did I feel about this story? Well, that toe-tapping is a good indication that I feel I quite like it.It's the first serial I have read so I was a little lukewarm at first. The use of French names for the English nobilit [...]

    19. Best romance since Julie Garwood's books! Loved the whole story from beginning to end. Clever, romantic and funny!

    20. Kindle Unlimited Free Audiobook narrated by Sue Pitkin. I just can't continue! I'm on Ch. 30 with about 3 hours to go but I just can't do it. The book was free so I thought I'd give a new author and narrator a try. It started off so promising and then just kept getting worse and worse. First his little pet name "Little Heart" just gets on my nerves. Not really sure why. I just find it stupid. Second, the narrator is simply reading this book with very little emotions. She pauses at ever comma, pe [...]

    21. This is the first story I’ve read by this author, but I was impressed. This book was excellent from start to finish. I managed to read it in about a day and a half and enjoyed every minute.Aurora – The heroine’s nickname is Rory. She loves horses and her lady’s maid is actually a man. She is strong and stubborn, a true fighter. Her secret longing is to be loved.Brigham – A local Baron who has a bad reputation. He’s known as a monster by those who don’t know him, but beloved by thos [...]

    22. Review will be posted atbooks-n-kisses MBER OF HEARTS: 3 3/4REVIEW: I enjoyed this book. I listened to all but the last two chapters on audio book, because I was impatient and could not wait until the next morning to finish. So since I had Warrior’s Revenge on my kindle I read the last two chapters. So I will start there. Sue Pitkin is not my favorite narrator. She did a good job with the telling of the story and the female voices. But the male voices were just off for me. They didn’t sound [...]

    23. Let me start off by saying that I do not read books like this. It was a first time for me to read a book that started in 1276AD. But I immediately became fascinated with the characters with the plot with the way they actually spoke their accents. And although yes I can say it was kind of inevitable the way the end of the book would turn out you just didn't know the exact details of how everything would turn out.In the beginning I thought lady Aurora was a bit naive and irritating. But then when [...]

    24. I was extremely excited at the start when i read the blurb, as I rarely find books in historical-romance to my liking. And boy did i like it. From the start of the book, you see the struggle and misfortune of Aurora's life after the untimely death of her parents. Leaving her in the care of her Uncle Cedric, where she went from being treated as a lady to a lowly servant. In fear of her life, Aurora runs from the guards keep with her only friend Nate, a servant who helped in time of need. On the p [...]

    25. I was given this book to read as a series of installments. While it became irritating to have to wait each week for the next installment I appreciated the fact that unlike other others Ms. Callahan did not charge me for each installment. From the beginning the book drew my attention and it became easy to fall in love with the characters. Each week I waited till I received an email notification that the next one installment had been delivered and no matter what I was doing I would stop and read t [...]

    26. Episodic romance with no true storyI really really wanted to like this book. Ms. Callahan previously showed her creativity by creating paranormal romances about dragon-shifters. This story, however, shows no imaginative storytelling. It combines lots of scenes for which there's nothing happening of significance. No plot or mystery or character goal drives the story. In fact, nothing even worthy of a Warrior's Revenge (the title of the book) happens until the reader is 90% through the book. (I re [...]

    27. Part of me is sad because this is the last book that is available for me to read by this author. Until November or so so I hear. I really loved this book! It made me laugh out loud, really. The heroine's sarcasm and inner monologue is hilarious. However part of her naivety wasn't all that credible to me & on the annoying side. I absolutely love the hero. I I loved his strengths and even his weaknesses. The pacing was slow to me slightly but each chapter ended with some pretty fantastic hooks [...]

    28. I struggled to get as far as I did. I just couldn't finish even with the skimming through tedious narrative to get on with the story. In addition I started out struggling with frustration with the characters. And the coupling of modern phrases with 'twas in the narrative was incongruant. I was also frustrated with her turning to putty in his hands so quickly. Whether this is believable or not its infuriating to watch the character's true qualities diminished and overshadowed by lust. I also foun [...]

    29. I don't normally read regency romance. But this was free, so on ward.Damsel in distress, crazy male relative. Avenging hero. I do enjoy seeing women with back bones from this period. No wilting heroines here. Brigham mistakes aurora for a light skirt. She has run away from her mad uncle who is plotting to kill her. She is alone in the woods on the outskirts of a village, when he comes to her aid after she's fallen. She tries to explain she is not a "light skirt" but he does not believe her. She [...]
