    1. I gotta admit it's nice to see that some good has happened to this cast of characters. But no sooner does the good come then the bad starts to show up. A quick-on-the-trigger Verkin woman, Craze's father and other Verkin who shooed him away. And his dad and the other Verkin just make you angry by their actions. Even Gattar show's up again. And while poor Talos has been on Jix monitoring how the nanites are controlling them, they finally get some good news about finding Lepsi.

    2. Best of the series so far!The friends scatter to try to secure their future while Craze stays behind and works to improve the station.Very exciting to read, with a dizzying amount of action.

    3. In Boomtown Craze, Craze has grown from being a Candide-esque innocent to a lovable, but sharp realist. Plenty of bad things still happen to him: his tavern tables get delivered in all the wrong colors, his obnoxious, user family arrives just as he is finally making it big in the tourist trade; yet Craze has learned how to play hard. He has grown quite suave with women. For instance, he’s able to make a strategic decision to forgo seducing the young lady of his choice in order to flatter and c [...]

    4. The adventure of Craze and his crew continue in Boomtown Craze, the 3rd book in the Backworlds series.Book 3 brings a lot of new stuff to the series. New, and very interesting, characters, new worlds and a whole lot of new problems Craze. It also gives the reader multiple POV’s for the first time. In books 1 & 2 everything was told from Craze’s POV, but this completely changed in book three, and it’s a good thing. It’s good because the story expands beyond just Craze and other member [...]

    5. I love Mary Pax's style. I've read book I and couldn't wait to read the others. she makes the characters very unique and interesting and I love the detail about the different worlds. It also helps that the characters have a special bond with each other due to dire circumstances. It makes the reading emotional and enjoyable.

    6. The Backworlds series gets better and better with each book. I love the way the character of Craze has grown and developed through the series, he's become quite a charmer here and a fun companion to have as we journey through the Backworlds. As always I am in awe of Pax's imagination and I am anxiously awaiting the release of Book 4 in a few months.
