    1. It Challenges the Traditional RomComIt isn't my favorite novel, because I would've liked to see more of the "real" romance develop, but I think it does one thing very, very well. At he beginning you have two similar minds come together, desperate to find love in the world. You have the potential for what could be a glorious relationship with the perfect Prince Charming. But that isn't how Annie's story develops. And I couldn't find it in me to dislike her even though she couldn't seem to make up [...]

    2. A solid piece of chick litChick lit is in my wheelhouse. It's what I turn to when I'm in a book slump because the quality examples of the genre always get me excited about reading again. There's something about snarky, laugh out loud humor that makes all seem right with the world. Some of the best chick lit is written by British authors. Maybe they just have an insane sense of humor; I don't know. Maybe I should consider living there. Not surprisingly, this is a piece of British fiction. I found [...]

    3. Five years ago, Annie was jilted at the altar. Since, life has been pretty dull, earning minimum wage in BHS and living in a tiny flat in Bristol. The only highlight is her best friend Will and the cafe they run. But then, into the shop and her life, enters Dorian – also a jilted fiancé, who needs a date for a wedding and persuades Annie that she could fill the role. After the wedding, on a drunken whim, they fly to Vegas and get married to each other and thus starts a rich new chapter In Ann [...]

    4. Although I am new to , I enjoyed this book so much I felt duty bound to respond to the author's note at the end of the book to review this story so here goes.I came across this book whilst looking for chic-lit that was a little different to my normal read.I became quickly absorbed into the story enjoyed getting to know the characters who are all interesting and well described. I found it was very well written and the plot thought out. I thought Annie was a very modern, scatterbrained individual [...]

    5. Written in the first person, it was hard to get a feel for the other people in the story. Dorian wasn't developed at all but was a main character. The story may have been able to pull some heart strings if the reader was able to see more of the person involved than just a name on a page. But alas, it was just all about Annie and her own feelings. Fair enough. The part that really irritated me was all the brand and name dropping. It was like a telephone directory. It doesn't add to the story so wh [...]

    6. Where to begin with this book? It was an okay read. I am stuck somewhere between two and three stars. It was an okay read, and parts of it were very good. I don't think I have ever read about so many uniquely crazy characters between the covers of one book before. Over the top, strange, and completely unbelievable at times – like a daytime drama – such is Annie's life. The author has an exceptionally creative imagination. I was given a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest rev [...]

    7. cute. i know I'll sound crazy saying that, but it was slightly too far fetched for my liking. I mean, of course it is not non fiction, but fool me, will you?, instead of assuming I'd marry a stranger who's handsome, rich and a closet hoarder as a flaw, all in 24 hours. Still, British chick lit is the best by far, I love their humour.

    8. Funny comical romanceI loved how Annie and Dorian met under strange circumstances. Then how every one could see things that Annie could see that was going on between Will her befriend and how he feels about Annie. This book is worth checking out if you like a good laugh and cry.

    9. Had me wishing for a bad book rather than the truly awful one I was reading I could not finish this book.It started out cute but went quickly down hill. It was still plunging when I stopped reading.

    10. Entertaining.A fun light read. Lots of fun characters and interesting situations. Lighthearted and a little bit silly. Enjoyed the experience.

    11. AwesomeI could hardly put it down it was funny sad and in some places really weird. I would definitely recommend this book

    12. Great book! I enjoyed this book so much and all the characters. I hope to read any other books by this author.

    13. great read!If was a nice easy read. Fun characters, laugh out loud moments. Very British -- witty and romantic at the same time.

    14. Slow BakeThis story was slow moving, got bogged down in details, but it was humerous. It did not get moving until the end.
