    1. Not that bad, but not that good either. It's a so-so book, haha. It wasn't my intention to finish a Harlequin novel but it's a fast read and I was looking for a fast read today and this just seemed to fit the bill. The characters are flawed but I like them. Mallory has qualities that remind me of myself such as her penchant for wearing statement shirts and her passion for film. However, most of the time I questioned her choices. Jack on the other hand is a typical Harlequin hero but he didn't qui [...]

    2. Who do you root for in this tepid romance? There's Mallory - I'm the biggest selfish bitch you ever thought about meeting. And there's Jack Daniels - Oh poor me, I'm rich and mommy and daddy didn't express themselves very well.So these two winning personalities have been carrying on an affair for a couple years behind the backs of their best friends and nobody knew anything? A silly wedding, stupid murderer plot, and unrealistic side characters did nothing to help the story. It's a sorry state o [...]

    4. I like the writing team of Tori Carrington, I really do. I enjoyed You Sexy Thing!, about two sex experts thrown together for a book-signing tour - it was smart and funny and entertaining. But this book, I just didn't like. The writing is good. The premise - two best friends turn lovers - was good. But my total dislike of the main character, Mallory, turned me off completely. Here's the deal: Mallory is a starving documentary director in Hollywood, California. She's screwing her best friend, Jack [...]

    5. This book is not good. Firstly, the main female character is pretty much a self centered bitch. Secondly, the fact she is chasing a murderer case that is a clear ripoff of the black dahlia irritated me beyond belief. The male character annoyed the hell out of me as well. The plot line just didn't seem to go anywhere and in and all it was a waste of time. I usually like the husband and wife team that is Tori Carrington, but their earlier novels are awful.
