    1. Anyone who knows Sarah J. Pepper’s style will know she does nothing halfway and Forgotten is proof of this author’s strong creative streak! Get ready to be plunged head-first into this tale, swimming in the nightmares that live in young Gwyneth’s dreams. She is being killed, she feels it is her future, that someday she will meet the boy responsible. Her life has been filled with pain and loss, even though she appears by all counts to be a normal, self-assured teen with a touch of angst eve [...]

    2. Detailed Review: <Review copy received from the author herself>At the start of the story, I was blown away. I mean, the start of the book was already sooo good! So at the beginning, we learn about a boy who's killing Gwyneth and suddenly she wakes up to find out, it was all a dream. Actually we also learn that Gwyneth's been having these dreams lately, knowing fully that one day that would be her destiny; being killed by *that* guy in her dreams.Sarah J. Pepper (the author) wrote such an e [...]

    3. Forgotten was a great start to The Fate Trilogy. I found myself devouring this book in 6 hours and instantly wanted to know more. The characters were engaging and their interactions were realistic and left me feeling intrigued.I enjoyed the mythology put into the world of the novel and of course enjoyed the spice thrown in during the yearning young adult romance. Of course the concept of old souls along with the danger and betrayal. Of course the angst of youth and the sheer stubbornness of Winn [...]

    4. Please give this book a chance. It was hard for me to understand what was going on at the beginning because it was hard to determine what was real and what wasn't but once I pushed myself to continue reading, it became a beautiful story. I truly felt the emotions in this book. I was there, feeling them as Gwyneth was feeling them. The story unfolds and you finally start to understand everything that was going on in the beginning and you just can't stop reading. The only reason why I gave it a 4 [...]

    5. This review is also available at: The Not-So-Literary Heiresses3.5 StarsWhen the author offered her older works for review, I was immediately drawn to Forgotten because the idea of a blind protagonist has always fascinated me. I was curious how an author would handle the subject of a disability that, in my opinion, is just so consuming.Ms. Pepper warned me that she was slightly evil in writing the book and it would leave me with a lot of questions for a good part of it. I'm not sure if she warne [...]

    6. Omg this book killed me so many times while I read it. Utterly amazing and mesmerising. :D Review to come soon! :3 <3 Proper review:Ebook copy provided by author via group We <3 YA Books in exchange of honest review You can find this review and more on my shared blog boricuanbookworms.wordpress From the moment I began this book, I was mind-blown. Not only with the blurb, but the trailer which finished winning me over and making me forget any other doubt of reading this. In this story, we [...]

    7. Reading this book was so much fun! By ‘fun’ I actually mean, “I have got the HOTs for Jace BAD!”“You know nothing of war, do you, Gwyneth?” Jace said. “No, you are just a little girl, mad at the world.” –Sarah J. Pepper, p.67That quote doesn’t even come close to the amazing fabulousness that is Jace Eatros. Hang tight guys, there will be more quotes on this matter. With that let’s start the list:1. Slow StartWhile the story is quite gripping, it takes a while to gain some st [...]

    8. The best way to explain Forgotten, is if Phenomenal and Epic got together, had an extremely steamy night of passion and then 38-40 weeks later Forgotten was born. Corny - I know, but oh my fricken god this book is,I could not put down Forgotten once I started. I had to feed and put my child and husband to bed but even then, my head was still in the story. I tried to go to bed and after 30 seconds lecturing myself on the importance of a full night's rest, I knew sleep was futile until I finished [...]

    9. I am so impressed with this read the author blew me away with how unique and epic this story was and it’s only the beginning in this trilogy. In the beginning of the story I was confused because I didn’t know what was going on, but I loved that. Makes me connect with the character, because that how Gwyneth felt, her life was changing and she could not comprehend why. So as you read you’re following her journey to actually find all the answer that come to her why she looking for the truth. [...]

    10. I was given this book in return for an honest review. I'm going to keep my synopsis short on this book, if I get to into it, I will give everything away. Gwyneth was an infant when her family was murdered. As a result of the mental trauma, she lost her sight. She lives with a wonderful couple and tries to lead a normal life. Then everything changes with the arrival of the mysterious Jace. She sees him as a bright burning light and it makes her physically ill. He won't leave her alone, he shows u [...]

    11. Reviewed by Inna @ This book had potential to be amazing, but it fell somewhat flat on the carry out. Gwyneth a living s semi-normal life with her foster parents. She can only see outlines of gray, until she meets Jace. He is a bright white spot in a world of grey. Literally. It's just too bad her makes her nauseous, clammy, tired and well just sick. And he also makes her want to kill him as soon as he opens his mouth. And then there's that part of her that wants to kiss him like he's a missing [...]

    12. I received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest, spoiler free opinion.I will start off my saying that I LOVE the paranormal genre. And Forgotten was so unique.I will start off with Gwyneth. When she was a child she witnessed her family being murdered and due to the trauma she was diagnosed to be legally blind, though she can see in different shades of gray. Pepper did a really good job with describing the everyday life of someone with such a difficult condition. Gwyneth lives with a [...]

    13. I enjoyed the plot and story of this book. I'll admit it was hard to understand and keep up with what was going on though. When Winnie had her visions I had a very hard time understanding what was happening and who was who. Towards the end it made a lot more sense to me. I needed a better understanding of the terminology used, maybe if these uncommon/fantasy words were better defined in the beginning it would have helped. I think I will re read the book so it will make sense to me now that I've [...]

    14. Let me begin by saying that the end of the book (regardless of the frustration) makes reading the book worth it but it was one main thing that made me give this book a 3 and not a 5. That being that for about 73% (yes i did count) of the book i was completely lost! BEYOND LOST! The author repeated certain sections later on in the book so they would make sense the second time around. But for the entirety of the beginning i felt like i was an outsider on some inside joke. Other than that there was [...]

    15. I would like to thank the author for gifting me this book for a honest review. And thanks to We luv YA books group. We are Introduced to Gwyneth, shes a teenage girl when she was younger her family was murdered and from that she is blind, shes able to see grayness and some shapes. She lives with her foster parents and gets along with them very well, she tries to live a preety normal life, going to school hanging out with her best friend. Then one night she falls and meets Jace and his shape is wh [...]

    16. Sarah J. Pepper blew my mind away once again with Forgotten. Never did I even think that someone would write a book about the Three Fates. And here we have Sarah J. Pepper doing exactly that and doing it well. Gwyneth is a blind girl with the ability to see the future. Wih only nighmares for company, Gwyneth is trying her best to move ahead in the murk that is her life. Believing in supernatural is not the the pragmatics, but everything that is going on around Gwyneth proves that supernatural to [...]

    17. Read the full review on my book blog The Book BratsFirst thought when I started to read the book: She is blind. How is this going to work? Well Sarah made is work alright. I constantly forgot that Gwyneth was blind. She is independent, stubborn, and has a dark past. One she doesn't even know about. Through Gwyneth's flashbacks we see her past life, and the murder of her family (Which ties into the whole plot line.) It was confusing until the end when you found out who and what she is. The flash [...]

    18. I received a free copy of this book from the author through We ♥ YA Books! group in exchange for an honest review. First off I would like to say that I loved this book. The way the author created a mythological world into a everyday world blew me away. This book start's off as Gwenyth a blind teen who can some what see shadows, get's knocked over at the bowling alley. Here comes this bright light of a man who attack's her attacker for hurting her. Another man comes to heal her wounds and he's [...]

    19. When Gwyneth was little, her family was killed. All but her. In the midst of such trauma, she lost her sight. Well, mostly. She could see shades of gray, outlines of people. Doctors can't explain it, she can't explain it, but its the way she has grown to know life. Its not until a night out with her best friend Bree, that things take a wild turn. One of the outlines that she sees, begins to glow. Jace walks into her life, and turns it upside down. When she begins to get visions, Winnie is sure t [...]

    20. Forgotten was a perfect first book for the Fate Trilogy. The ending will not disappoint and will leave you wanting to read the second book right away. The passion between the two main characters, Gwyneth (Winnie) and Jace is so strong I felt it. MMM, Jace! I'm 32 years old and this is the first time I have fallen in love with a book character! It may have started as lust, but I was head over heels by the end of the book – long before that, really. If you have an interest in romance, paranormal [...]

    21. I liked this book. It was well written and was engaging. I really thought the author did a good job of making the reader see what Gwyneth was seeing even though she was blind. It was confusing at times, but I thought the author did a really good job.I liked reading a little bit about greek mythology by having Gwyneth be one of the three fates. I thought the transition between past and present and past lives was handled very well and easy to follow. I found the characters engaging and really like [...]

    22. I was confused through the first half of Forgotten but my guess is that is what Sarah was aiming for. Most of the time, the reader just knows what Gwyneth (or Winnie) knows, and she’s in a state of confusion throughout most of the book.I like Sarah’s style of writing. I did get tired of the same memories being repeated over with just a little added each time. I’m not sure if there would be a better way to accomplish what she did, but I found myself skipping to the end of those memories. The [...]

    23. I struggled between 4 and 5 stars on this book. I ended up giving it 4.5 stars just because it frustrated me but in a good way. I couldnt read it fast enough to find out what happened. In this story the author seamlessly wove us into a world of gods and humnas. Everything about this story was flawlessly done except the end! I loved each character some I loved to hate. The author has a knack of being descriptive through the eyes of a blind girl. Telling us of visions of a life past and of the pre [...]

    24. I absolutely loved Forgotten by Sarah J Pepper. I thought the storyline was unique, the plot was interesting, the characters were compelling. This book pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages. I was never quite certain what was going to happen with the exception that I figured out the main "baddie" at least for this book pretty early on, but when he was finally revealed it was a "Yes, I was right" moment. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal lovers, people who lov [...]

    25. I have always had a fascination with mythology of any kind, and it's been a long time since I've read a modern interpretation even HALF as well done as this one. For some reason, the Fates have hidden in the back of my mind. I know of them, and a little bit about them, but after reading this I want no, I NEED to read more! The book tended to drag in a few places, and some areas tended to seem repetitive, but I am NOT a fan of books where people meet and then get married 2 weeks later because they [...]

    26. If you are even a little bit in to Greek mythology, I think you'll love this book! It makes you think and it takes you to another world! Loved it. The characters all have very individual and dynamic "voices". I've read one other book by Sarah J. Pepper, The Death of a Mad Hatter, and I can tell she loves to keep you in suspense. She makes it impossible to "just read a chapter before bed". Tumoltuous with twists and turns and lots of DRAMA! Really enjoyed this book and excited for Book #2 fo this [...]

    27. I finished this book last night and OMG Sarah J Pepper is an absolute genius! This has got to be one of the best books i have EVER Read. Stop what you are doing and get this book NOW! I wish i could have given it more than a 5 star rating. The charachters are so in depth and real and the story line is simply amazing, it is one of those stories that you just have to keep turning the page, like an impulse because you need to know what was going to happen next. Definately one of my favourite author [...]

    28. I greatly enjoyed this breath of fresh air, but at times i got annoyed with Winnir. I mean, you are obviously something other than human & stop being so stubborn! I mean, I'm stubborn, but not that bad. I hate Analee & I really wish someone would kill herowly, I want Winnie to get her scavengers back, I want go know her plan & who her sisters are. All & all, I enjoyed this book & look forward to reading the next

    29. I had a bit of trouble getting into this book. I didn't particularly like Jace, and some of the visions threw me. I didn't know what to think about the story. However, after finishing this book I want to READ it AGAIN. I want to see if I catch every hint of what is to come. I am definitely going to read Fate #2.I definitely recommend giving this book a shot.

    30. I received this book thru lop. I was lost at first for a while but I figured it out and loved the book. Half way thru the book i couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I loved the two main characters and so as soon as I finished this book I started book 2.
