    4. I never considered myself a cat person, but after reading Whiskers and Hairballs - My Life as a Cat, I may have to reconsider. Maranda Russell shows the life of a cat in an entertaining way. Young people will enjoy this picture book because the real cats are fun to look at and the book is easy to read. Cat lovers of all ages will find this book entertaining because they can relate so well to the antics of the cats in Maranda's story. My personal favorite is the "unexpected bath"!

    5. This is a children's book and is an excellent beginning reader. I definitely liked the way that Maranda pulled in the photos of her cats and wove a story into them.

    9. This book is centered on a few cats, photography of them, and with subtitles that don't always work with the images. The pictures are cute, though. It would have been nice to have more.
