    1. Large in format if slight in content, a small overview of Jazz in NYC during the roaring 1920s, beautifully illustrated. More of a coffee table book than a history of this most vital period in Jazz music, it's a nice collector item as it includes some rare recordings.

    2. Spotty study of a selection of jazz artists in New York during the twenties. Doesn't even attempt to be a comprehensive history. Emphasis is on the drawings.
