    1. This is no "sparkly" vampire novella but a gory blood soaked look into a viciously sadistic vampire named Ronan. The author has written this prequel to her new series to introduce readers to this particular character and to explain whom his love interest will be, however in doing so she leads the reader through senseless killing after killing as Ronan slakes his voracious hunger for blood which in turns leads to a final confrontation with his maker Keelin.I have no wish to read further in this s [...]

    2. I actually read the first book in this series before I read this prequel because I forgot to read it so I went back after I finished the first book and read it! It is such a short prequel with only 23 pages so it only took me like half an hour to read! You do not have to read Blood Lust before you read Love and Blood but it does help a little as it gives you some back story! The plot of this prequel leads nicely onto Love and Blood but I only know this as I have already read it! The plot had som [...]

    3. The problem here wasn't so much the writing as that there isn't anything to it. It's basically just vampire attacking woman after woman and stalking another woman altogether. As a means of letting you know how little there is to this story let me make examples of frequently used words, which are emblematic of repeated scenes. Both drop/dropped and ground are used 10 times. As in he dropped her body (14 times) to the ground. That doesn't count the ones he tossed in trash cans or at his feet, etc. [...]

    4. The thing about novellas is they are such teases! Introduced to Ronan and his desire for his "child" the woman he loved who he turned vampire She couldnt bare to be what she is so she fled and hes been looking ever since and now shes been found Ronan is a mess with her being so close yet so far hes on a binge attacking and killing nearly everyone he comes across and this bothered me (only slightly because i feel the first novel in the series will clear this up) he ripped the throats out of his v [...]

    5. The book is aptly named. This short prequel to Jessica’s book named Love and Blood, introduces us to Ronan, who is a vampire with an insatiable lust for blood and is about 560 years old. He is constantly on the watch out for his child, or rather a woman whom he turned into a vampire, and is in immense love with. But she ran away from her maker, wanting to be more human than a vampire. This prequel is only 16 pages. Throughout the pages, it has the most gory details about how Ronan feeds on his [...]

    6. Roman, a 560 year old vampire, is on the hunt to quench his insatiable appetite for blood. Then he finds HER. His mate that he has been looking for since they split 15 years ago. This is a short prequel to Love and Blood. The story is a fast read more because you find yourself turning the pages faster and faster with anticipation. Great freebie to get you hooked and eager to buy the next in the series. I gave it 4 stars because it really was too short and at times I felt it was a little rushed. T [...]

    7. I had seen these books floating around for a bit and found myself growing curious about them. Given my curiosity level was rising, I was excited when the author began seeking out blogs interested in participating in the blog tour for the newest book in the series. I jumped at the opportunity.Blood Lust is exactly as the title implies. Ronan, it seems, is a true vampire. He kills because he enjoys the blood and gains pleasure from the hunt and kill. he loves the terror in his victims and he makes [...]

    8. What an amazing kick off to a series. Growing up one of my first introductions to vampires was Interview with a Vampire. It has gone from the violent dangerous type to the sparkly vegetarian type. I was so surprised and relieved when the first blood shed in Blood Lust was vicious and messy. The way Gibson described the flesh being torn into was awesome. Call me crazy but the blood and gore is what made this an amazing prequel. I think she may be onto something here with the behaviour and charact [...]

    9. I know this is a short story, and typically, I give a lot of authors credit for writing anything given I am not creative. However, this was a bloody mess. Ronan is completely horrible. I haven't read any of the other books, so perhaps reading this one first is not helping, but if he is the main character in a later book, he would have to do a complete 180 to become likeable. All he did was kill and stalk people. I'm just not sure what the purpose of this story was. Was it to portray how evil he [...]

    10. First, I want to thank Jessica Gibson for giving me this amazing prequel! This short story is short and GREAT! All I read need to say is Vampires, blood, lust, fighting, hot vampire-guy and beautiful vampire-girl!Ronan is over 500 years old and a vampire. He is searching for someone. Bronwyn is his true love. As he searches for her, there is a trail of blood and violence along the way.Jessica definitely leaves you wanting more! I cannot wait for January 2013 for Book 1.

    11. This book got me confused threw most of the book between "her"'s. The lack of using names got me confused to who Ronan was stalking, threw most of the book up until the end. Also mostly all of the book was just Ronan charming ladies or just chasing them down, and biting down on them, then running around calling his "brother" about stalking and getting annoyed with him when he isn't on time. Either way it was okay though.

    12. This book is very very short i didn't know what to make of it it seemed rushed loads of killing and blood lust. Good title for the book. I will read the other the other 2 books . I have already downloaded them to my kindlePS I have now read all 3 books. I am glad i did it def would be better if all 3 books were in 1 book rather than separately because i was tempted to give up but glad i never

    13. Too short. This book was free for my KINDLE. It is what the TITLE says. The book is based on a vampire and his LUST for BLOOD. He goes around the city draining people dry. It really has no point to it, it has no ENDING, it feels like you are left at the beginning of CHAPTER 3 and then it ends. It is about 50 pages long, and i am trying to be nice, the book is a waste of time.

    14. Glad I found this prequel for free so that I'd know to stay away from the rest of the series. Also glad it was so short, otherwise I wouldn't have finished it. It was just a lot of killing, and I couldn't believe the main character could actually be capable of loving the object of his infatuation.

    15. This is not a romance novel. Yes it dose have an underlying love story (of lost love that failed and has driven him to his blood lust.) but that's it. This is a bloody, fast paced, horror novel, prequel. If you are looking for a; Twilight or Cat & Bone's style romance story, this is not for you.

    16. Wow! What a great beginning to what looks like will be a great series. In this book we are introduced to Ronan who is ruthlessly bloodthirsty . Driven by his lust to have the vampire he created by his side, he will do whatever it takes and kill anyone in the way. Great beginning to a great vampire story.

    17. Gives insight into Ronan for the book Love and Blood. I'm honestly not big on short stories so not the best to give a review on one. I read Love and Blood first , and I think this would have gave me a better start to that book had I read it first. With that said Ronan is nothing but predator here predator and stalker searching for Bronwyn.

    18. Interesting story line about a vampire who strays from his maker. It skips around a bit and you read about the same type thing before moving forward. I wish we got to know more about 'her'. I would have liked a little more story to the book.

    19. A good introduction to a bloodthirsty, old age vampire. No fuzzies here, Ronan likes his skills bloody and violent, though with his age they don't need to be. Ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, but then again, it is a prequel.

    20. Boring.I was not at all impressed with this novella. Killings galore with no fear of capture and zero character development. I would not read other books in this series.

    21. Rushed but did get my interest. I'd like to read the next book but I can't find it. Anyone know where I can find it?

    22. This short story was a wonderful tease to get you into the series! I'm so intrigued now and can't wait to begin the tale of Ronan the vampire! Fantastic job to the author!

    23. A great short story about Ronan and what he will do to get Bronwyn back. Definitely a great addition to the Blood Ties series.
