    1. This seems a very strange book choice for me.  I am not religious, I do not believe in god. But I do believe in the right of anyone to believe in what they want, so i could overlook the pages dripping in faith that handed everything over to a higher power that supposedly knew better. There were a lot of pages to overlook. I think the key message of this book is to stop, think, reevaluate, learn and adapt accordingly. Some people do that through faith in god when they do not have any strength le [...]

    2. This was a great book for those people who are wounded by war or the effects of war. My heart goes out to the warriors who have fought for my freedom and then have so much to go through when they get back home. Also to their spouses and children, I had heard of PTSD but didn't realize what all the warriors and their families went through. I can certainly see how this book would be of great help!!

    3. Wounded Warrior, Wounded Heart combines research and real-life stories from military families dealing with aftermath of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and TBI (traumatic brain injury) offering hope to families suffering from secondary post-traumatic stress. The book is a collaboration between Marshele Carter Waddell and Dr. Kelly Orr. Waddell's husband, CDR (ret) Mark Waddell, served as a US Navy SEAL for twenty-eight years. A combat veteran, he suffers with PTSD and several TBIs while hi [...]

    5. Facing some of life’s toughest situations should never be done alone. For that reason, Marshele Waddell and Kelly K. Orr have come together to write a book about combat-related PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). We all know of the brave men and women who sacrifice so much for their country, but we often forget those who stand behind them. When a wounded warrior returns home, his/her family and community also experience the effects of the war. As Waddell remi [...]

    6. This is one of the most powerful books I have had the honor of reading, dealing with a problem that is growing in epidemic proportions in our country - the returning veterans who are suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Traumatic Brain Injuries.Marshele Waddell tells of her personal experience with this condition that not only affected her husband, but her son as well. She includes personal stories from other military wives, mothers, girlfriends and sisters as well. Offering hope th [...]

    7. This is one of those books that breaks your heart but infuses you with great hope. Having walked a piece of the road Ms. Waddell so transparently describes in this book, I found myself drawn to her story. Having found some measure of peace and comfort before reading the book, I wholeheartedly agree with her and Dr. Orr's advice. This is an excellent resource for those dealing with PTSD, TBI injuries, and other service-related traumas in the home.

    8. A must-read for any military spouse dealing with PTSD/TBI. Great biblically supported thoughts and suggestions.
