    1. **WARNING SPOILER ALERT**Well, Into the Arms of Madness, was my first let down of the year, which saddens me quite a bit. I wish I had better news for you guys. The writing was flat, and so were the characters. I felt as though the first few chapters of the story just rambled, and it didn't get much better from there unfortunately.Bre and Todd are newlyweds. The first time she meets his family is at their wedding. They are all a bit “weird” so-to-speak and standoffish. Todd doesn't talk much [...]

    2. I received a free copy of this book from the author, through LibraryThings; an honest review was requested.“Into the Arms of Madness: A Novel of Suspense” by Regina Pacelli could not have been better named. She has developed a mad man unlike any other in fiction that I know of. Her character development is superb, bringing her characters to life. Even the whole mildly insane family rings true. This is a really potent story, and the suspense is almost enough to bring on an ulcer. This is a st [...]

    3. Freaky psychological thriller about finding out that the man you married is very different than who you think. Like reading Rosemary's Baby. It read very quickly and was so quirky that it was enjoyable.

    4. It's not often that I cannot figure out exactly where a story is heading but Regina Pacelli surprised me time and time again! From the moment I started reading Into the Arms of Madness I literally did not put it down until I was completely finished which was just an hour before I had to get up and start my day! This is an exceptionally well written book that will leave you fulfilled while begging for more. I definitely feel as if I got my monies worthd then some.

    5. Dear Lord was this book a rare find! Being a BIG romance novel fan, I was certainly not prepared for this take on happy ever after. This book is part romance, part suspense and part horror which is all the things that I would never have placed together on my to-read list. Yet here I am, one psycho adventure later marvelling at what a stunningly written book “Into the Arms of Madness” is. The story line follows the romance of newlyweds Todd and Bridget as they deal with the long hidden fantas [...]

    6. A Well-Crafted tale of A Twisted Love Enmeshed with Deeply Disturbing Secrets! This suspenseful little tale was quite an engrossing read! The Author delivers her story with a perfect blend of Mystery, strong, relatable characters, flowing dialogue and a unique plot that has you guessing all throughout the story the exact motives of not only the characters but, the author as well. I was pleasantly pleased with the fact that I could not put it down yet, it moved along seamlessly and quickly so I di [...]

    7. Sometimes you really don't know who you married. That is the case in this book. What would you do if on the first day of your honeymoon you found out things were not what they seem? This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! !

    8. The storyline was a good concept although a tad weird. The story lacked character development, and the ending was rushed. 2 stars

    9. Bre thought she was marrying a great guy. But she got some weird vibes from Todd’s family at their wedding. And on their wedding night Todd reveals some very disturbing information about himself. And then Todd’s family shows up to explain what’s going on. It seems as though Todd has a history of long term mental health issues that Bre was unaware of, and his family encourages her to play along with his “fantasies”. But as the story progresses you find out just how dangerous it can be t [...]

    10. This was quite a chilling book as it covered the topic of ‘what happens when you’re on honeymoon and find out your partner isn’t who you thought they were’…a scary thought and particularly in the case of Bridget and Todd. I thought it was predominantly written well but some parts seemed to drag a bit while the climax was almost too quick and I felt myself wanting a bit more of the showdown, but the epilogue made up for that as in the conclusion, I felt an element of something else dark [...]

    11. I would like to say that the storyline for this book was really good. I enjoyed how I never knew what was going to happen next. However with that said the characters did not make me love them. I wish wish there had been more dialogue between them. I wanted to know more of him, and there were times i felt sad for him and others when i thought he was a monster pretending to be sick.

    12. Fast paced page turnerkept me guessing and wondering what the outcome would be. A great little weekend read. I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a quick thrilling read.

    13. Loved it! Bought this book to keep me company on my plane flight and wasn't sorry. This was a very different kind of psychological thriller and kept me engrossed for hours. The author literally (and quite mercilessly I might add) kept me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next.

    14. Regina Pacelli has written a very good and enjoyable first novel. If you like your books to be suspenseful, with a psychological bent, or even a thriller. Regina's book "Into the Arms of Madness" is a book for you.

    15. This book was a real thriller. Todd is a man stuck in his fantasy world and the real world, unable to separate them at times. Into the Arms of Madness is dark, romantic, and suspenseful novel. There was never a dull moment or pointless moment in the plot. It was truly mesmerizing,

    16. Dumbest book I have ever read !!I don't even know how this book got published. It sucked !!! It was short and dumb ke super dumb . Do not waste your time reading this omg !

    17. As a lover of suspense and romance, I was referred to this book by a co-worker who said it was one that would definitely keep my interest. From the first pages I was happy to find that the first-person narrative and progressive style of the author fit the novel perfectly. The pages flowed quickly as I developed a strong bond with the protagonist Bridget. She was a multidimensional character that yearned for the love that someone of her caliber actually deserved but up until being with Todd remai [...]

    18. I didn't know much about this book before I read it. I entered and won a Member Giveaway on LibraryThing (a review upon completion was requested as part of the offer) based on an intriguing description of the plot provided with the contest announcement. I hoped Into the Arms of Madness would indeed prove to be an intriguing, enjoyable reading experience.Thankfully, I can report that author Regina Pacelli did not disappoint these hopes. A sense of suspense drew me into the book immediately and ke [...]

    19. I received a free ebook version of this book from the author. It did not change how I reviewed the book. The following is still my honest opinion. The description is all I knew about the book going into it. It is a shorter novel, at just 224 pages; therefore, I read this psychological thriller in one day. I liked the book, but I did not love it. What kept me from loving it is the lack of character development. I never got the chance to fall in love with any of the characters, so I was not rootin [...]

    20. Different kind of Psycho- ThrillerInto the Arms of Madness, A Novel of Suspense by Regina Pacelli is one of best thrillers I have ever read. Story plot begins with marriage of Bridget, Customer service analyst with Todd, who worked as a consultant and was currently serving as the technical. This was his second marriage first was with Janie. Todd fell in love with Bridget during her postgraduate studies and finally it resulted in marriage. The plot moves with an extraordinary pace with enough cha [...]

    21. The tittle “Into the Arms of Madness” simply is the best suitable tittle for a book like this. It describes the main twist in the novel. Todd and Bridget, being a pair of newlyweds are trying to discover each other after their wedding. They both planed going for a honeymoon to a cabin by the lake, spending some time together to get to know much about Todd and his family. And this is where the story takes the twist and Bridget gets to know about her new husband’s mental illness…It is an i [...]

    22. It's kind of hard to peg what's going on in this novella. Is it supposed to be a thriller? A horror story? That's the kind of build-up you get a couple of times during the story, but it just didn't deliver for me.It's the story of a young married couple, Todd and Bridget. When they go on their honeymoon, Todd reveals a big secret to her (I'm not telling what it is, as it's a spoiler). When his entire family shows up during the honeymoon to talk with Bridget about Todd, including giving her a hug [...]

    23. I don'thave any idea what I just read. Part of me wants to be like, "Wow. This book was terrible." But something is stopping me and I have no idea what that something is. I won't spoil you by telling you what exactly is wrong with Todd. But I will say that Bridget's reaction to it when she finds out has to be one of the most unrealistic thingsever. Any normal human being, upon hearing what Todd tells her, would have puked and then run screaming for the hills. Bridget's reaction is basically, "Oh [...]

    24. This is one of those books once you start reading it you won’t be able to put it downTelling the tale of a newly married couple Todd and Bridget, it recounts their honeymoon and the events leading up to it and right from the moment you turn the first page you can feel the tension and turmoil the relationship it put under. The author has done a great job with the characters particularly Todd who you can almost feel the secret he hides eating away at him.If thrillers with twists are your thing th [...]

    25. ‘Into the Arms of Madness’ has such an irksome premise—it furthers my resolve to never be married! Bridget’s discovery that Todd (her new husband) has some serious issues, left me riveted and hoping for more after every page. You won’t believe Todd’s disgusting habit, the illness that ruined his sanity and was ruining his marriage as well. This ‘perilous tale’ really will keep you captivated to the very end. I don’t normally read suspense (it keeps me up at night), but Regina P [...]

    26. Exceptional!I really enjoyed this novel. It was weird, creepy and different. A very original story. One glaring error; when Todd tells his wife what she ate, she makes no mention of it, out loud or in her thoughts. That threw me out of the story. Why is Todd's family not in jail? There obviously was a murder involved. It was alluded to several times in the story. Details are everything in a good story. The literary slips knocked down the rating a star. Otherwise, an exceptional story.

    27. This book was short, weird, incredulous, but good. While I understand and know firsthand that love can make you do silly and crazy things, some of the reactions were so far off reality that it detracted from the story. The overall theme of the book, how far would you go for the one you love, is one that I don't see enough of. The phrase "Through sickness and in health" is just a phrase, until it happens to you. I wish the author had expanded more, but I do hope to see more work from her on this [...]

    28. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which I admit surprised me with its professional style, good characters and unusual plot line. The story starts out pretty standard, with newlyweds Todd and Bre getting ready for their honeymoon, but rapidly develops into a narrative I just did not expect. I won't give it away, but it will keep you second-guessing the characters and wondering where the plot was going. Don't worry, it does get resolved - quite dramatically. If you're looking for something which wil [...]

    29. This book was good, however it didn't give you much time to get to know the characters. I'm bummed because this book could have been great. Although its 224 pages, it's about half of that because its double spaced. I finished it in a day and a half and thought it was good, but it could have been so much better. If you're looking for a book that's a real page turner to read for a flight or for a rainy day, then I recommend it

    30. This was a really unique book centering around Todd and the way the book has been portrayed really evoked deep emotions in me. Bridget is a strong character and learning how she copes with the unknown has been really intriguing to read. The storyline is masterfully written and I couldn’t wait to read it all. Well worth the read.
