    1. I gave this book a more than fair shot. I read 70% of it before I finally gave it up for lost. And 70% of a nearly 800 page book is a LOT. It. Was. So. Slow. I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen--just a little further, surely we're almost there . . . but NO. Never. By the time the two main characters finally started to make definitive progress, it was either MEH or it had taken so long to get there that I just didn't care anymore. I'm not sure which it was, but either way I threw i [...]

    2. ****Warning**** This review contains offensive language if you're offended by profanity.I made it a little over half way. Which is longer than most of the books I have been reading lately. So, I think that I gave it a fair chance before giving up on this horribleea. This drags.ond ond on. It is so very, very boring. I don't know that you ever figure out what the hell is going on in this book, and like Keira, I found myself just not giving a fuck anymore. Keira was PATHETIC. What a waste of charac [...]

    3. Dear, sweet merciful Jesus, where even to begin, to start untangling the catastrophic mess that is this novel.Let's start by saying that it's long.o long for the wrong reasons. From page one, the author launches herself in filling the pages with descriptions of Kiera's surroundings, down to the details of her every step. I wouldn't mind, if it wasn't for the fact that those bits of information weren't important to the story. Yet, when she reaches something that could get you emotionally invested [...]

    4. WIN A SIGNED PAPERBACK COPY OF AFTERLIFE NOW OVER AT PERUSING PRINCESSES - ENDS 2ND SEPTEMBER 2013. Mobile/Cell phone friendly link: bit/13QgEpV It's official, I totally get the term 'Crave the Drave' now, he has just jumped into my top ten book boyfriend list, OMG ladies, ladies, ladies, if you like your boys on the paranormal side, this boy has the lot! The good, the bad but definitely not the ugly. This book is an investment and I'm not just talking about the cost of purchasing it, which I has [...]

    5. My Good Reads group poll was rigged so this book book would win book of the month. I believe this was for the sole purpose of selling more books. I will not be reading it out of principle and if I could have returned the book I would have.

    6. I have total respect for anybody that can finish a novel. I really do. I have tried enough times and cannot finish a damn thing, so hats of to those of you that can. I have read all 3 of the instalments so far in The Afterlife Saga, and whilst i think that the writer has good ideas and potential she desperately needs an editor on board now to refine her storytelling, structure and characterisation. This felt like a draft. She clearly wants us all to fully realise her setting but we are bombarded [...]

    7. I started reading this book because of all these great reviews here on GRI have to say that I am not sure I understand why so many people love this bookI mean really, there are people saying that this book changed their livesor that they only started reading because of this book.I am sorry but just didn't see it.I couldn't get past the amount of exclamation points that were in this book, and all the CAPITALIZATION of shit that didn't need to be capitalized.Ohh and the fact that even when someone [...]

    8. Wow, just where the heck do you start for this book. It's one of those books, it slow burns into your head and leaves you reeling and your senses alive. It's so evocatively visual and captivatingly written I am so glad I read this book.Draven is just one cool alpha male, his strength and charisma just drip feed off the pages and Keira is a great heroine, feisty but also damaged, she leaves you quite emotional in places. These two are a great pairing. All the characters in this book have a purpose [...]

    9. 30 new members to a group, who all happened to have JUST joined GR and happened to have all voted for the same BOM. Sounds a little suspicious don't you think.

    10. I really liked this. I loved the romance, the fact that I couldn't guess what Draven was, and the secondary characters seemed very real. It was filled with action and steam, and it definitely had a plot. We don't know what she is at the end, I don't think. That has me curious too. The start was slow. I've requested it from Kindle Unlimited about four times, unable to get into it due to the beginning. It needs editing there badly. However, once it got going, it kept me enthralled. Only other comp [...]

    11. I really wanted to enjoy this book. It seemed so promising and loved the long length. I have read a lot of the reviews on GR and and I'd like to address some of the complaints I've seen and my opinion on them.Yes, it did remind me of Twilight but in the best way possible. I didn't like Twilight and I think this book carried the whole stalkerish immortal alpha male thing rather well.On the other hand, I do agree with others who are saying none of the American characters sounded American. I don't [...]

    12. As you can see from the date I started this it's taken me a WHOLE week to get through this book. It NEVER takes me this long to get through a book. Not even J.R Wards BDB takes me this long and they are loooooong! But with Wards books I don't mind them being long. I love the length of her books. This book not so much. For the first 30% of the book, literally nothing happened. I guess some could say it was setting the premise, I however would say it's a waste of paper or kindle space. After that [...]

    13. Okay so this one is hard to review. On the one hand, the story and the ideas behind it are good and on the other hand do I really need to know every detail, do we really need to read about every shower the MC takes or have to endure crazy long descriptions about pointless things. I mean for real, this author could write a chapter long description on a blade of grass. At times I almost DNF the book, purely out of frustration. However, there was enough of a story hook to keep me going till the end [...]

    14. This book needs a brutal editor to whip it into shape. I dedicated a chunk of my time and money to this story, and I feel cheated. I appreciate the effort of the author, as this was obviously a labor of love for her, however as the book stands right now, it's just not very good. It's very long winded with excessive amounts of superfluous details that instead of adding depth and world building, they take you out of the story and dumb the whole thing down. The heroine was horribly insecure and unli [...]

    15. It took me quite a while to get into this book as its a really slow starting book. The first two thirds of the book dragged a bit and I felt myself giving up because of this but I was told by friends to persevere as its a really good book definitely glad I did!For how slow the beginning is, the last third of the book is absolutely amazing.would definitely recommend this one, I'm now starting book 2

    16. FREE series Unlimited. To check out more cheap reads facebook/ParanormalBoThe editing in this one left quite a bit to be desired. I believe for some this would be too long and, at times, to slow (436pg). It actually took me two days to read. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.

    17. This is going to be a really long review with spoilers. But it’s a really long book and I didn’t know how else to go about it. So the book starts out new girl in a new town, becoming friends with the locals, and then her first glimpse of the mysterious Dravens, catching the eye of the Dravens, and getting an invite up to the VIP area of the club they own and where they dwell night after night but for a limited time only. This happens much to the disbelief of the locals because “gasp” no [...]

    18. I cannot believe that I haven't written a review of this book yet. I originally read this while on my honeymoon (sigh) and could not put it down, and I have re-read the series 3x since. As is the case with the 1st book of any good series, this book moves a bit slowly at first because it is setting up the preternatural setting and cast of characters. The main character, Keira, has a very strong attention to detail which is definitely helpful when visualizing in your head. I love the characters an [...]

    19. This is my second read and to be honest it was like the first time, half of the story I completely forgot. It centres around Keira a 23 years old Liverpudilian who has moved to New England to escape the trauma of her past. Her life is full of horrors which includes nightmares and visions of monsters and this makes her withdrawn and self conscious. However an encounter with the infamous Draven's and in particular Dominic gives her purpose as she slowly puts her life back together with the help of [...]

    20. This book was very slow to get going. I was 30% in and asking myself whether I should keep goingd I'm glad I did. I'm now part of the "crave the drave" gang.Keira Johnson a girl in her early twenties who moves to America from England to live with her sister and get away from a horrific incident in her past. She is still dealing with her past and the nightmares she has that she struggles to determine what's real and fantasy. Keira makes new friends and gets a new job. This new job brings her face [...]

    21. 4.5 stars!! Enjoyed it tremendously. A vividly written story about a young woman from England, who moved to America to be with her sister in order to start over. Keira instantly loves her new home, her new friends, as well as her school. But as she settles in her new life, she begins to notice strange, unexplainable activities surrounding her. The beginning of the book was a bit slow, and at times I felt Keira was a little too descriptive with every day activities. However, once the story is pai [...]

    22. DNF!!!Found myself skipping pages at chapter 1!!! The airport scene is so dang boring! After the story of the uncle's suicide, it got boring again! Arggh!!! This is a paranormal book! It's supposed to spark something from the very start! not bore us to death! I plan on dropping it around 40%.Chapter 1 = boringChapter 2&3 - boring, not the part when he said 'somnus keira'chapter 4&5 - boring, not a word made me want to cling to the storyGosh, I had to stop at 72% of the story. It's a tota [...]

    23. I enjoyed this book very much, I really loved it, but the girl/heroine is so frustrating in her lack of self-assurance and lack of observation and understanding skills. Other than that an amazing read. I also felt as though the author repeated scenes for the sake of it or the prolong the book. But the story was brilliant. I would definitely be reading the next.

    24. At first I was not too sure about this book as it really is not something I am into or so I thought, boy am I glad I took the chance. This book was so addictive I could not put it down. I seriously cannot wait for the second book. Now I know what Crave the Draven is and boy do I crave it ;)

    25. It appears that there might be some spamming going on with this book. No bad author behavior or fan behavior to report as of the moment, just some spam/ballot stuffing type of action.

    26. I finally got into the story 40% into the book , I persevered as lots of good reviews , unsure if I will finish this trilogy, however I did finally enjoy the romance that evolved .
