  1. May 31st:Who can resist "an enthralling novel of nursing in London's East End in the 1920s and 30s"? Well, probably a good number of people. Not me, though. This is a reprint of a novel published in 1931 that would have been completely forgotten had the author not some renown among girls' school story readers for the wonderful Evelyn Finds Herself. I've been trying to find a copy of Sister Anne for over a decade, but evidently it sank like a stone on its original publication, for not one whisper [...]
