    1. I was skeptical about the helpfulness of this book prior to reading it. I followed the author's instructions (there are specific instructions regarding how to read the book and do the exercises); the entire time one devotes to the book in following the instructions is about 2 hours. Happy to say it seems to have worked now that it's been about 7 days since I read it and did the exercises. One proviso: it doesn't claim to make you a better writer or even a good writer; however that is a project I [...]

    3. Really useful tips and advice. Includes how to set up your writing area, how to get your butt in the chair, and how to think about your writing. Good reference book.

    4. If you are writing a story and can't figure out where to go, or you never seem to have the time to write, or you just can't seem to make yourself sit down and write, I truly believe this book will help you.Jerrold Mundis explains the pyschological reasons for writer's block, as well what can be done about them. With a few short exercises that require only a few minutes he helps conquer the fear of sitting down to write. In short order, his premise is this: there is no such thing as writer's bloc [...]

    5. A lot of good advice on dealing with stress. I do not necessarily agree with all his conclusions, but most appears to be very goodo points I like best about this book are: 1-having a goal of perfection is a killer. I hear in other places, give yourself permission to suck. This goes especially for the first draft. 2-Do not get mired in the baggage train. Excuses and justifications will come, don't allow them to stop you. A book well worth reading, especially of you are dealing with stress.

    6. From it's outset, this book says it is meant to be read in a single afternoon. I think that is time well spent for a writer looking to deal with writer's block or just get back into the habit of writing. While seasoned writers may recognize a number of the techniques in the book, there are enough ideas that most readers should find something of worth in there.

    7. This book was not bad, by any means, but it seems like aside from the last technique (The Atom Bomb) it's all advice I'd read before. For $3.99 on my Kindle, it was worth it and if you are blocked in your writing you should check it out.

    8. Mundis was having a sale on this book for Kindle. I've been eager to read it, and tonight, I started. It seems like a good week to start changing my life.

    9. Time well spent for any writer. An excellent reminder that the only thing you can accomplish today is today's work. Focus on today's words and move forward.

    10. Such a comforting book on the craft of writing; encourages one to keep the work time DOWN and realize that we are all capable of writing.

    11. While I don't share all viewpoints with the author, a concise and extremely helpful guide that leaves you no excuses not to write. Great psychological stuff understandably explained.
