    1. 4.5 stars. Reviewed for Affaire de Coeur magazine's January/February 2013 issue @ adcmagazine/.Never Love A Lord is a very satisfying page turner with well-developed characters, action, suspense, steam and angsty romance that kept me reading from the first page to the end, praying for Sybilla and Julian to have their HEA.Sybilla is a wonderfully developed heroine who made my heart ache for all that she had experienced, but also for her to be loved, be happy, and to be able to share all the love [...]

    2. I kept reading through this series just because I liked Sybilla and wanted to read her story. I was pretty disappointed though. I felt that her character was somewhat inconsistent and her romantic relationship fell flat.

    3. Julian Griffin has come to Fallstowe on King Edward request to find the reason for treason. Lady Sybilla Foxe is prepared to fight for her home. Evidence is mounting against Sybilla, as does the attraction that Julian starts to feels for Sybilla. Sybilla is fearless. Can she rely and trust on Julian, when says that he is there to help her? However, as their feelings for one another deepen. Giving in to temptations will put them both their lives in danger. Can Julian save Sybilla? What will Sybil [...]

    4. NEVER LOVE A LORD by Heather Grothaus is an exciting historical romance set in 1277 England. Book #3 in the "Foxe Sisters" trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone, with re-appearing characters. See," Never Kiss a Stranger" and "Never Seduce a Scoundrel". The eldest Foxe sister, Lady Sybilla Foxe, is not only brave, strong,in danger of hanging for treason but very sensuous. Julian Griffin, must fulfill his mission from King Henry, to secure Fallstowe Castle, prove Sybilla either innocence of treaso [...]

    5. I think that Lady Sybilla Foxe was a good character in this novel. This book is an ok book and I really feel that the characters names fit them. As I read this story it made me imagine and compare their world and ours together and also compared the difference. One thing we have in common is believing that you are in love at first sight instead of trying to see how a person really is.But one thing is for sure.In our world(maybe)no one would fall for a lord.Another difference is that Lady Sybilla Fo [...]

    6. This was such a fun book to read. Julian had no idea what he was getting into by trying to secure Lady Sybilla Foxe’s home. Sybilla is a very strong character who has taken care of her family and her sisters through many dangerous events in their lives. Each sister has found love except for Sybilla. She is, in my eyes, the strongest of the sisters but the hardest one to fall in love and trust anyone outside of her family. Julian is another strong male character that matches Sybilla both in per [...]

    7. I am in awe of the story of Sybilla Foxe who was the beautiful, headstrong and intelligent older sister in Never Love a Lord by Heather Grothaus. The author gave me a tender and wonderful final love match that felt right.Sybilla has defied her King in not following through his demand for attention in the case of treason against her. King Edward has sent his army to descend upon Fallstowe Castle in order to force his will.Julian Griffin is a loyal vassal to the King and has been delegated to inve [...]

    8. Review:Book three of a fabulous trilogy. This book explains the back story that was eluded to in the first two books and gives Sybilla a love worthy of her strength. I think this was by far my favorite of the three books as it explained so much, there was action and great passion and strong characters. What I Liked: Finally finding out the back story and how all the pieces fit together. What I Disliked:How quickly Sybilla agrees to run at the end of the book I thought that was too easy, in most bo [...]

    9. I accidentally read this series out of order, this book first, so there were a few references that I didn't understand but that is entirely my fault. I was also mildly surprised when Grothaus portrayed her protagonists a little differently than many other romance novels. I think she made a good choice in avoiding having the protagonists fall in love with each other at first sight because we, as readers, are all getting tired of that. My only complaint is that Grothaus didn't explain the "witch"- [...]

    10. Apparently this was the third book in a series. I didn't know that when I'd started reading. Despite my not having read the first two books, I had no problem following the action and characters in Never Love a Lord. This is the first book I've ready by Heather Grothaus and I'm headed to check out her backlist as soon as I'm done with this review. I LOVED this book and was sad when it ended. I highly recommend you give it a try!

    11. I've loved all the books in this series and this one did not disappoint. This book falls under the lines of mystery Sybilla has had a hard and confusing life. As she discoveres who she is and how she got to where she is today, of course she finds love in a most unusual place I love the myth behind the fox ring.

    12. This was a satisfying conclusion to a trilogy where I did not read the first book. The heroine is both resourceful and vulnerable. The tangled intrigue is very well handled and the final chapters are beautifully handled. The tidy ending is predictable yet satisfying and made for a great summer read.

    13. loved this book! sybilla is a great female protagonist and i am so happy that she found julian who realized all her amazing qualities and love her

    14. Julian's love for his daughter Lucy was very rare in those times I imagine. esting characters so I wanna read first two books.

    15. Loved the historical fiction aspect. Very descriptive use of sentences and places. Can't wait to read more from the author.
