    1. Begin with a curse to make men live as if dead, unfeeling, insensate, devoid of emotion, and unable to die as the years and ages pass. Add a girl whose ancient bloodlines could tear the immortals free of their plight, and watch the sparks fly. Some of the cursed yearn to live again, while others enjoy their retreat into unliving immortality. While the premise of a girl who is the one and only for an immortal, cursed man will be familiar to us all, what I loved about this book was the depth of st [...]

    3. Really, this is like a 2.5 star but what the heck, I'll be generous.Entertaining read, but the writing is nothing tohar harwrite home about. Clearly intended to appeal to the mass appeal teen audience, the author never really gets into the building blocks of the world and focuses on the made-for-CW characters and their soppy teenage romance. The author also tends to ignore the logistics of how things might actually play out. Likewhat do immortal Scots do for 270 years and deal with continued Bri [...]

    4. I borrowed this book from amazon about 4 days ago. It is a very easy read and it for sure kept me captivated. It's a teen story at heart with some supernatural, poplar culture, and history mixed right in. I liked it. The main characters grew on me pretty fast and I cared about what happened to them. I loved that the book made me do some actual research of history and look up some facts. It also really made me want to visit the Scottish Highlands- sounds like an stunning place!

    5. This book could have been great but it has so many holes in the plot. I don't know if it's just the English translation or the way the book was written but it definitely needed more development. With that being said if the second book gets translated into English I will still read it.

    6. 4.5- I honestly enjoyed this book, my only problem was several spelling/grammar errors. But those might be from it being a kindle version or translation.

    7. Very GoodI like Scottish stories and can somewhat imagine the Scottish rogue when they're speaking. This story is of a young lady who of course, falls in love with a Scot while in Scotland for a school project. They have many trials and tribulations. I enjoyed reading it very much and hope you will too. Happy Reading.

    8. Though there were a couple of instances where I felt the story was dragging, it turned out to be an exciting story line that definitely has me wanting to listen to the next one. I must say that I loved the narrator's voice!!I borrowed a copy via Prime Reading.

    14. T & G Book Boutique Reviewstgbookboutique"I could pluck petals off a daisy and know as much as I did nowHe loves me. He loves me not. He wants me dead. Or maybe not."I have a lot to say a lot about this book… and not in a good way. First I would like to start off by saying I respect the author and her work, even if I did not enjoy it. *sigh melancholically* Okay here comes the hard part. There were a few things I disliked about Ms. Bold’s work, but first let’s start with the positive. [...]

16. This is a YA paranormal book. The main character is an American girl who does not know that she is descended from a Scottish clan that was involved with the Jacobite uprising. She meets a "young" man who has been 19 for a few hundred years because of a curse & discovers that she is the key to breaking the curse. The romance is constrained, barely any kisses, and there are a few instances of strong language. The characters are charming. I enjoyed the flashes of history & loved the narrato [...]

    17. I'm actually giving this book three and half stars - Emily Bold has written an entertaining novel regarding a curse and a group of immortal Scots who have lived for over two hundred years, but unfortunately the novel has lost some aspects in the translation from the original German to English. It also suffered from an over-abundance of exclamation marks, which distracted from the overall experience. A further heavy editing of the English edition would improve it markedly. The characters are likab [...]

    18. Ehhhhh I was really hoping his book would have been better. There was so much potential with this story, but there was so much missing. I felt like the author could have elaborated more on what the Scots did for the 270 years they lived before meeting Sam, or focus more on the logistics of what was actually happening. Also, the love sorry going on between Sam and Payton was getting irritating. I mean you don't fall in love with a guy within like three weeks, and the popular guy at school doesn't [...]

    19. This book took me quite a while to read. Not because it was bad, but because as a Kindle book I was reading it on the bus too and from work, so did not often read a lot of it. The only thing I would say though is it did not make we want to read extra and I have been reading normal physical books in between. The story was not bad, I actually did not mind the characters, not to whinny as teenagers can be in some books. I did like the switch between the flashbacks and the current. It kind of gave me [...]

    20. Quick review:Cover: Okay Rating:PG-13 Thumbs Up:3Overall: Interesting enoughCharacters: Well DonePlot: A curse that causes forbidden lovePage Turner: Sure Series Cont.? Might Recommend:Not SureBook Boyfriend: PaytonSUMMARY (50 words or less)Reads too much like Twilight fan fiction for my liking. But if you’re a huge fan of Twilight (which I am) and you don’t might a feeling of déjà vu when you read (I don’t), you might like this one.For a full review and yummy pic, see my blog post at:my [...]

    22. The Curse - Touch of Eternity has a nice twist to the typical paranormal books that are being published. I had some difficulty with parts of this book which I think can be related to the original book being published in German. It's a fun read if you can get past the little editing errors. It's unusual for a writer to surprise me in the last dozen pages of a book, but this one did.

    23. I really enjoyed the mysticism of this story. Being on a study abroad right now myself, I could relate a lot to the main character a lot. Emily Bold does an amazing job at describing the beautiful scenery of Scotland. To those who like Merlin, Lord of the Rings, and the Vampire Diaries I would recommend reading this novel as it has a lot of similarties to these other books.

    24. AmazingAt first you think ok I'm lost. what the check is going on. But as they explain and the love between Sam and Payton is deepened you want their love to succeed no matter what. This is definitely a must read.

    25. A good read, I couldn't put it down!I don't give five star ratings, so this is a good rating from me. I like the way it keeps you wanting to know what's going to happen next. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good highland romance!

    27. Struggled a little with this story. It seemed like your typical highland revenge vendetta with a immortality curse thrown in. The ending while slightly predictable made me really invested in the story. I want the next book, but will have to wait until it is released.
