Tasmania - like you have never seen it beforeAre you one of the many people who think that Tasmania is small and insular; a tiny and unexciting island that sits irrelevantly at the bottom of the world, like a footnote in a book? You might be surprised to learn that, although Tasmania was only settled a little over 200 years ago, we have a fascinating and somewhat sordid history. My book, Only in Tasmania is an alternative look at our history as you have never seen it before. 3. Best book I've read about a place as this was written in interesting chapters. This one just tells you what 'humans' did to the Aboriginals in Tasmania (but also on the mainland of Australia). It's a similar story to what happened to the Native Americans in North America and Slavic people in Poland. Anyway this is a interesting book with straight-forward approach of events that happened in Tasmania.

    4. This is a charming and lovingly researched book detailing some of the most intriguing, macabre and eyebrow-raising stories of Tasmania's history. Books like this are rare, and so special because there are not many folk around chronicling Tasmania's history. It looks like it has been self-published, but can be easily purchased from the author online.
