    1. Tasmania - like you have never seen it beforeAre you one of the many people who think that Tasmania is small and insular; a tiny and unexciting island that sits irrelevantly at the bottom of the world, like a footnote in a book? You might be surprised to learn that, although Tasmania was only settled a little over 200 years ago, we have a fascinating and somewhat sordid history. My book, Only in Tasmania is an alternative look at our history as you have never seen it before. 2. Sandra Huett makes fair work of presenting some interesting stories from Tasmania's past. 3. Best book I've read about a place as this was written in interesting chapters. This one just tells you what 'humans' did to the Aboriginals in Tasmania (but also on the mainland of Australia). It's a similar story to what happened to the Native Americans in North America and Slavic people in Poland. Anyway this is a interesting book with straight-forward approach of events that happened in Tasmania.

    4. This is a charming and lovingly researched book detailing some of the most intriguing, macabre and eyebrow-raising stories of Tasmania's history. Books like this are rare, and so special because there are not many folk around chronicling Tasmania's history. It looks like it has been self-published, but can be easily purchased from the author online.
