    1. it we all right. I liked Bob and the other two were weird. The story was about three chipmunks at the zoo and nobody paid attention to them. So they tried and tried to make the people pay attention but nobody did, everybody went "ah", and then they just dressed up as the other aminals.

    2. I found this story to be cute, but the illustrations chaotic--and I like bold, bright illustrations. But this one had my eyes trying to figure out where to look and it took a moment to process what was happening on some of the pages. I did like the ending, "the pigeons, however, had plans of their own." Funny. Not sure how well this would work in storytime

    3. Well, if there was a point to this story I think both my daughter and I missed it.I mean if I try hard I could say "be careful what you wish for?" but we were both still underwhelmed.

    4. Bob the chipmunk is my new hero. He just kind of sits there while his friends come up with these wild and crazy schemes because they want to be noticed. He just doesn't really seem to care about the outcome of any of this as long as he has a plentiful supply of acorns. In short, in life strive to be a Bob. Would recommend.

    5. Chipmunks Cutesy, Blinky, and Bob want the same kind of attention people pay to other animals who live in the zoo, but when one of their plans succeeds, they see that being noticed is not always a good thing.

    6. This was a funny picture book about a trio of chipmunks who aren't getting any attention at the zoo. They go to great lengths to get the attention and then they are annoyed by the "paparazzi" and slide back into chipmunk solitude. Very cute illustrations.

    7. Illustrated by Dan Krall. This is HILARIOUS. Exactly my kind of humor. The local chipmunks at the zoo are tired of not having anyone pay attention to them so they come up with plans to get noticed. The illustrations are really what make this book great. They are SO funny!

    8. LOL! This book is flippin' awesome. Imagine the manic energy of classic Warner Bros or Ren & Stimpy toned down in grossness for the preschool set. "Oh, Nuts!" is another example of a children's book adults will love, as well.

    9. I didn't think chipmunks lived in trees. (Well, not high in the branches. I remember The Chipmunks living in a tree with a door at the bottom.) This was cute and worth a second read, but not one I'd read over and over.

    10. "Bob pretty much just sat there" Very Saturday morning cartoon-like feel to this bright and fun story. These squirrels just want some attention, so pick up this new picture book and give 'em what they want.

    11. I thought this book was cute. Although it was not a very rich text, children will like the silly antics of these three chipmunks. This story also teaches a good lesson - be careful what you wish for, because you might not like it once you have it!

    12. I picked this one up randomly when I had to do a last-minute storytime for a school-age group. It was a HUGE hit! I admit it. I really like Bob. :)

    13. A clever story line and fun illustrations. However, I think I was more impressed with it than my five year old.

    14. This was adorable. Sort of a be careful what you wish for story. Adorable characters. Especially Bob. :-)

    15. I love the illustrations: they were spot on for the zaniness of this book. Also, I love, love, LOVE Bob. He cracks me up!

    16. "Cutesy, Blinky, and Bob lived at the zoo."This was a great story full of fun illustrations and characters that will make you laugh.

    17. Is fame all that it is cut out to be? Follow the story of three chipmunks who are jealous of the attention their zoo animal friends are getting and their antics in trying to grab the spotlight.

    18. Cute story about some chipmunks who would like to be noticed by the public at the zoo, but once that happens they appreciate how their life was before fame.

    19. A fun story, with plenty of exaggeration in characterization. Cartoonish antics lead to the eventual conclusion that the spotlight is not all it is cracked up to be.
