    1. Tezuka wrote this during his slump/depression period and it was not as popular as his other works but I think this is still a very notable work. Tezuka’s work has always power to make readers think and this one is definitely makes you think about human behaviour, and our futile obsession with “beauty”. I personally really enjoyed it even though the manga god himself did not like it, to the degree that he did not wish this to be republished at all. He didn’t even want to draw certain char [...]

    3. A reprint of one of Tezuka's classic manga titles, funded by Kickstarter. I was a contributor because so many of Tezuka's titles are not available to read in English & since he is the Godfather of manga, I have always been interested in reading as many of his works as possible. His manga is very different from present modern-day titles & seems comical & old-fashioned to many readers now, but if you are at all interested in the history & development of Japanese manga, you need to [...]

    4. This 1970/1971 story by Osamu Tezuka revolves around a bitter african-american man who, betrayed by his women and blaming the racist justice for his harsh prison sentence, desperately tries to erase his skin color with an obscure raygun he aquires from a mad scientist. He then decides to become a ruthless criminal and FBI agent Rock Holmes (famous Tezuka star) is after him.The work is unbelievably - absolutely unlike Tezuka's remaining work - bleak and nihilistic, filled with morally corrupt unl [...]

    7. It's really really bleak but still a Tezuka masterpiece, what I enjoyed most is the artwork and illustration, very creative and accurate.

    8. Must be the worst manga made by Osamu Tezuka. The art is old but was expecting that from Tezuka, what was let down was the dull depressing story.
