    1. MEMORY CAN BE MURDER - PoorSquare, Elizabeth Daniels - 3rd in seriesPeaches was working on her book--How to Survive Without a Memory--when she was interrupted by a call from a cousin she hadn't seen in years. Peaches--not surprisingly--couldn't quite place Anne at first. But she agreed to pay her a visit--and during her stay, discovered a corpse stuffed in a laundry chute. The dead man had upset a lot of folks--including Anne--with his angry words and nasty threats. But someone, apparently, stru [...]

    2. I read several of Ms. Squires murder mysteries, and enjoyed each of them! I'm not into extremely heavy mysteries and I think that's why they were all such fun reads. If I recall correctly, her character has the tendency (which her hubby is not happy about.), accidentally/on purpose, stumbling into the middle of a murder situation, which she says she's not going to get involved in solving, but always does just that. Amusing, light reads. PS. Ms. Squire passed away in 2001, and when I ran across t [...]

    3. Peaches Dann is called for help by her cousin's daughter Ann. Anne and her artist husband, Sam, are working for Revonda, a retired actress. Revonda's son, Paul, is into magic and is found dead in a plastic bag with magical markings. Soon, Revonda's friend and Paul's godmother is found dead in the same way, and then Paul's girlfriend, Jinx. There are lots of crazy people, and Peaches is into memory devices.

    4. I've read too many in this series at once. The setting is near Asheville, NC; the "mountain people" thing has gotten wearing. They aren't up-the-holler people but professionals who have lived out of the coves several generations. But the importance of family and heritage hasn't waned, and the intolerance of idiosyncrasy outside the family and acceptance inside annoys.
