    1. Isaac is an incredibly clever writer and I think this book, while only self-published currently, deserves to get picked up for publication. His stories aren't for everybody as they are incredibly bizarre and I could see that some people might think that they are confusing but I loved them. I enjoyed all of the stories in this collection, though some more than others. My favourites are She & I Walking, Red! Red! Red!, Adam, The Hole in the Lake, Young & Beautiful, and The Onion Clock.A la [...]

    2. This is going to be brutal. Physical book of only 500 copies Already sold out, years before. Give me a link and I will pick it up. Serious.

    3. I think the back cover of this book describes The Hungry Mouth the best.Short and long stories about people, animals, cars, crashes, love, disease, death, dinosaurs, black holes, breakups, zombies, gods, children, happiness, and hunger. Isaac Marion is best known for his novel Warm Bodies, which is well on its way to a movie theater near you. The Hungry Mouth is a compilation of stories by Isaac, with a story toward the end a bit longer than the others called, Grass Through The Concrete. Warm Bo [...]

THE ONION CLOCK: Quite awesome. ADAM: Odd.YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL: One of the best.PIZDEC, PIZDATO: Good.LOUD NEIGHBOURS: Odd [...]

    5. I don't usually bother reviewing short story collections. It's too hard since you always end up liking some and maybe others not so much, causing merely warmish feelings about what you've read overall. This book doesn't leave me feeling that way at all. I love this book! All of it.This collection is funny, thought-provoking, entertaining and sad. Sometimes all at the same time. I often felt like the words were a poetry speaking directly to me. Some of the stories are really out there in crazylan [...]

    6. There are only 500 copies of this book and I recommend that you search for someone who has one. Fortunately for me, my best friend did. This is the second book I've read by Isaac Marion (first was his more famous WARM BODIES) and yet again he did not disappoint. What I love most about Marion is his syntax, the way he stitches his words together; however what he showed with these sets of stories is his ability to create characters and give various point of views. There are some stories where I wo [...]

    7. The summary says exactly what you're getting when you read this book of short stories: an eclectic mix of Isaac Marion. When I read them, I felt I could probably put them in order, from what was written first to what was written more recently, judging by the quality of writing. That isn't to say that any of them are bad, but he still has become a better writer since he wrote some of these shorts. The stories all have very different topics, but the majority had a very similar feel which could be [...]

    8. Ah, Isaac Marion. I'm absolutely in love with your style. Everything is so modern yet nostalgic. This collection of short stories was only available for a short time and in a very limited quantity, and I was lucky enough to purchase a copy. Unlike his debut novel, Warm Bodies, this collection is a lot less polished. A lot of the stories seem either too short or too long, but that's how it goes with most short stories, isn't it? That said, there were only a few stories that I found boring. They t [...]

    9. I loved every single story, and it brought back the magic of "I Am a Zombie Filled with Love" that was missing in "Warm Bodies." There are so many new and interesting ideas in here that could be expanded the way "Zombie" was. And speaking of "Warm Bodies", the prequel/spinoff short story included in here is wonderful too. Marion's writing is whimsical and witty as ever, and I have to believe short stories, rather than novels, are his strength. That doesn't stop me from wanting to hear more from [...]

    10. I would have finished this in one day, but I tried to pace myself. To spread out the stories, so there would be more of them. Marion has a way with words that just blows me away every time. 'Grass Through The Concrete' is obviously a highlight for those who have read Warm Bodies, but don't think that the other stories are any less amazing. 'She And I Walking' is one of the stand-out stories for me, but all of them are incredible in their own right in his honest, intelligent, darkly funny, sad an [...]

    11. Isaac Marion has done it again. The Hungry Mouth was a wonderful collection of short stories that ranged from the bizarre to the terrifying to the wonderful. Each story was unique and left it's impression. My favorite was of course the second to last when we got to see a prequel to Warm Bodies (which only made me long for more Warm Bodies). Isaac Marion is truly a gem. Whatever he comes out with next I will be there to get it!

    12. Very weird. Rather tragic. Always fantastical which, for me, became tedious by the end. I really do love his writing, but perhaps this is one taken better in small doses.
