    1. The Book of Siavon chronicals the life of a young girl with a special gift born in a world composed of myth and lore. For many years it has been prophesized that a child with ruby eyes would save the world from 4 immortal witches bent on ruling the universe. Meet Keavy, a 14 year old, impetuous, strong-willed, sure- footed girl raised in the town of Nodens by an old knight with a secret power not even she knows about. As Keavy learns about her destiny and trains to set out to destroy the witches [...]

    2. Aryth was once ruled by benevolent Garric, but his daughters have caused nothing but despair since he cast them out. Only one person, the ruby eyed child of prophecy can defeat them to restore an era of peace. Keavy has been trained to defeat Garric’s daughter, Crocetta, by her adopted father Vorian. When you are born with crimson eyes, it’s hard to mistake your destiny. But her destiny has come too soon, and she only has an elderly catman, skittish faun and a teenage blacksmith to aid her. 3. The Book of Siavon: Volume 1: The Ruby Child by Jessica Eppley was a very easy to read, easy to follow fantasy novel. You follow Keavy as she sets out to embark on an incredible journey. I found the book to be well written, there were quite a few words that were hard to understand or that I had to look up and a few names and places had to be written down to reference later but it was worth it! I loved the story and I can't wait to see what else there is to come in the next book!

    4. I would like to start off by saying, I like this book. It began a little slowly for me so I wasn't initially hooked. Once I really dug in and got over my dislike over names of places I can't pronounce, I fell in love with the characters. I found myself engrossed in the journey and excited to see how it all ends. I'm really looking forward to starting the 2nd one and continuing the quest.

    5. My dad got me a signed copy from the author,a local girl he met at our Barnes & Nobles. I can't wait to read it!
