    1. This is an intense story at times as a loyal wife discovers more and more unsavory truths about her recently deceased husband. For Rachel Dahlrumple, being a good wife was the most important aspect of her being. Even though her husband mentally abused her by making her feeling guilty for every imagined discretion, kept her on a tight financial leash, and denied her the children she wanted, it wasn't until his death that she discovers the kinky sex games and numerous children including one who li [...]

    2. This review is of “Rachel Dahlrumple” by Shea McMaster, a book I won in a contest. The story: The book centers around the titular character, a 39-year old librarian from a small California town who narrates the book in the first person. Rachel lived with her husband, Burton Earl “Burt” Bruckmeister, a former Navy man who worked for the city. I use the past tense because Burt is killed in chapter 4. Even before his death, Rachel and Burt weren’t happy with each other; he was also unfai [...]

    3. Rachel's marriage has been on the rocks for awhile. She knows this, but that's just one thing she does know against so many things she doesn't. There will be time to learn that of course when her husband turns up dead.I wasn't completely sure how I felt about Rachel in the beginning of the book. She almost seemed emotionless. My opinion changed later, however. The story started out slow, but picked up after a few chapters, and I was really getting into the mystery.Rachel Dahlrumple is a great ro [...]

    4. Suspense, mystery, and sexy heroes, oh my! This book had me hooked from page one and the suspense and sexual tension never let up. Brava, Ms. McMaster!

    5. Release date November 7, 2011 Morgan Q. O'Reilly writing as Shea McMaster. 11/8/12 Update. Mom's review = 4.5 stars. The reason she didn't give it 5? I wouldn't give away the plot. No matter how she tried to badger me into telling her the ending, I wouldn't budge. Nor did I teach her how to skip to the end of the book on the ereader. She had to read it all the way through, the way it was meant to be read. LOL She's still grousing over that, but already deep into the next ebook.
