    1. 'If by a weapon you mean my revolver, no, I didn't bring it with me. But I've got all the other three, thank you'() I knew that when Feluda mentioned three other weapons, he was simply referring to his powerful brain, steady nerves and strong musclesWhat a great book! Mixed with suspense, mysteries and humour-it's a no brainer that Feluda is the Sherlock Holmes for all Bengali youths. Even though I didn't read the original text, it seems like this translation did its best to do the original just [...]

    2. This is one of my most favourite among Feluda's adventures.

    3. Feluda has yet another case which brings him to the holy town of Benaras this time. The famous detective investigates the robbery of a priceless deity while on holiday in beautiful and mystic town. In many ways a story about stories, this clever thriller twists and turns its way to a stunning climax. The story has all the thrills and details which we have seen in all Ray's books. It keeps us engrossed as always till last because the mystery finally unfolds at the end. A movie was also made on thi [...]

    4. A treat to read is what i would say. An excellent story by Satyajit Raj and as good translation by Gopa Majumdar makes it worth reading. Extremely thoughtful story and as always a very good sense of deduction by the peotagonist. The writer is able ti conceive the secret till the very end and the dramatic end is the best part of the story.

    5. The book was quite good! But i expected a lot from Satyajit Ray! Sad to say but it didn't reach my expectation! A book only for his fans others would find it a bit boring! Every time i read i feel the book shoudn't get over but the opposite happened to this book! I should have done some research about the book before reading!

    6. "It is perhaps a good thing to fall flat on your face occasionally. At least it stops you from getting arrogant, and reminds you that you are no different from most men." One should strive to use those occasions to hone one's skills. That is the time when Feluda found himself utterly helpless. Never such a depression , such a perplexity has seized him before as that which he has found himself to be in. When a awe evoking notorious criminal like Maganlal put him in a cul de sac and he was gropin [...]

    7. Feluda is in Benaras where an expensive Ganesha statuette has been stolen from the Ghosal family's household. The suspects are a local muscleman called Meghraj and a sadhu called macchli baba, revered by many. There are a few others too, though their motives are less obvious. I thought the plot was interesting, as was the setting, particularly because it was during the durga puja, which lent an interesting atmosphere. But towards the end, for my taste, the climax didn't match the buildup. Overal [...]

    8. Feluda (The investigator ) is in Vanarsi now. In Varanasi amid the Durga Puja, a significant statuette of Ganesh is stolen from the popular Ghoshal family unit. Before he can recuperate it, Feluda needs to confront the scoundrel Maganlal Meghraj, fathom a murder case and unmask an extortion sadhu. It was an "OK" read for me.

    9. Take a trip down the narrow lanes of Banaras as Feluda unravels yet another mystery and meets his very own Moriarty - Maghanlal Meghraj. The motion picture was good as well, but as always, the book is a thousand times better than the movie.

    10. great story. a thrilling plot. and what an ending. this was my first of the Feluda series. I'll have to read more.
