    1. Sleigh's analysis of the form of the novel, and its development parallel to science, if fascinating. I think it lends even more credence to her argument that she deliberately eschews the obvious choice of discussing science fiction texts in favour of other, more traditional, literature, to demonstrate how the methods of science influenced narratives, and vice versa.
