    1. Very important reading for parents and teachers on getting children to engage and interact with nature one on one. The Earth itself is a teacher that is wildly apart from a classroom exercise or textbook article. Harrison's insistence that we reconnect kids with the world outside is done with earnestness, insight and simplicity. His love of children and the outdoors is evident. This work is a tool to enable like-minded adults help kids not only connect with nature but to themselves, others and t [...]

    2. I'd like to give this book 4 stars, but there is something lacking. This book is very much in line with their philosophies, and I really agree on the surface with everything that he has to say. I have found help for parents or anyone who is longing to look beyond their own truth to look beyond conventional wisdom and to be able to seek a greater vision.“T [...]

    4. Divine intervention appears to have been running through author Simon Paul Harrison's veins as he wrote his book. The Truly Alive Child For Those Who Seek A Grander Vision For Our Children is full of so many simplistic, realistic tools and answers for the world to read. "An educational system isn't worth a great deal if it teaches young people how to make a living but doesn't teach them how to make a life" Author UnknownIt is perfect timing for such a book to be presented to our world at a time [...]

    5. reminded me of why i wanted more outdoor time with my children. and them to have a relationship with nature as well on their own. it is a north star for all of us in life, coming home to nature. since finishing we have hiked twice together and we went snowshoeing too!
