    1. This little gem is not your typical "Mrs. Claus" saves Christmas. The poor woman has had enough of the cold and the obligations that go along with being Santa's wife and she decides a little vacation is just what she needs. Santa realizes how little fun it is without her, and she realizes the same holds true for her as well. Lots of humor and awesome illustrations. Great message about being best when together!

    2. I read this book aloud to my children. This is a whimsical tale about Mrs. Claus, who is feeling terribly tired of sitting at home alone each year while her husband gets to travel the world! Promising to return before Christmas Eve, she packs her bags to set off on her adventure.Santa worries how bored and lonely Mrs. Claus likely is, but the illustrations convey how much fun she is having! Alsenas takes us on a totally different sleigh ride, besides riding with Santa were taking a detour with his wife Mrs. ClausI never would have suspected that Mrs. Claus would need a vacation, but I guess baking all those gingerbread cookies and taking care of Santa does have it's toleWhat I don't understand is, Why Mrs Claus took a vacation alone??? 4. I read this book to my class over winter break. They enjoyed seeing the different places around the world that she went to visit.Mrs. Claus is tired of sitting at home every year while Santa gets to travel all over. She decides to go on a vacation on her own and travels sees many sights. However, the whole time she is gone she wishes Santa could have been with her. Santa is also lonely at the North Pole without his wife. When she finally comes home, they decide to travel the world together.

    5. I shared this book with my Relief Society group the other night and everyone loved it as much as I do. Mrs. Claus finally gets away from the winter snow, leaving Santa behind to get ready for the holiday season all on his own, but in the end, they both learn something about each other and the joy of being together.

    6. Really fun story about an independent Mrs. Claus who takes off on a big vacation in December. While Mr. Claus is home--missing her and getting things ready for Christmas--Mrs. Claus is off having a wonderful time! The end has a cute surprise twist. This book shows how much Mr. and Mrs. Claus love each other!

    7. This is a fun tale about Mrs. Claus taking a vacation and seeing the world. The illustrations are vivid and with nice details and really help tell the story. Our girls really enjoyed listening to this tale.

    8. The kindergarteners found the full page spread of Mrs. Claus in a (modest, one piece) bathing suit scandalous, and cause for gasping and giggling. I really love the illustrations in this cute holiday story.

    9. It's nice to see Mrs. Claus in the spotlight for a change, though she is never even given a first name. One might worry that the setup is one for an unhappy marriage in the beginning, but the ending reminds us that home is where the heart is.

    10. Mrs. Claus is tired of never getting to go anywhere and so she decides to travel around the world. Santa worries about her while she is gone, but his worries are unnecessary; Mrs. Claus is having a wonderful time. Best part: Mrs. Claus sunbathing.

    11. Year after year, Santa gets to travel the world over delivering presents. But we never hear about Mrs. Claus having a travel-bug. In this clever picture book, Mrs. Claus gets a much-needed vacation . . . and Santa really misses her!

    12. A pretty fun Christmas book where mrs Claus decides she wants a vacation. She has many adventures but misses home and returns just in time for Christmas Eve! Fun and good illustrations!

    13. Great cover and illustrations - the author actually writes Santa and Mrs. as 3-dimensional characters who show a range of emotions.

    14. We'll definitely check this one out again at Christmastime. It's a book that all moms can appreciate because all moms have needed a vacation at some time or another.

    15. A romance! Mrs. Claus goes off on a vacation alone but ends up missing Santa and heads home in time for Christmas!

    16. A fairly cute take on Mrs. Claus. Most of us can probably relate to her we need time off. And what fun she has!

    17. Such a funny little story as Mrs. Claus is tired of all the snow and takes a little trip around the world before returning Christmas eve.
