    1. You guys know that I like Lizzy Ford, right? It's true. All her stories have struck a chord in me in one way or another. You wouldn't think that a book about possessive aliens in a patriarchal society would be able to do it but you'd be wrong. Yep, once again, Lizzy Ford has written a book that I couldn't put down. Actually, I did end up putting it down but it was only because I literally couldn't keep my eyes open last night. My Kindle kept slipping to the side and it made it very difficult to [...]

    2. Finished reading: December 5th 2014"To his surprise, she was grinning, her multi-hued eyes glowing. He hadn't thought she would be so eager, given her skill at avoiding all her regular nishani duties."(view spoiler)[I'm not sure whether me and this book just were not ment to be or if it really is that bad, but I just couldn't enjoy it. It seemed to be more like a cheesy romance novel than an actual science fiction work, and I couldn't be bothered by the whole situation of the Anshan planet where [...]

    3. Basically, Kiera is kidnapped by her well-meaning best friend, Evelyn and her alien husband, Romas and taken to the Qatwaal planet. The man there are all alpha *beats chest* *me man, you woman* sort of guys whereas Kierawell she's a woman from Earth's 21st Century. See the problem? She doesn't fit in with the other quiet submissive, women. She trips trying to escape a six legged cat and falls into the arms of the man she is destined to be with.Therein starts the adventure. The handsy man just ha [...]

    4. No No No No No! The only reason this book got 2 stars was because I liked the ending. Otherwise it was not good. The writing seemed disjointed and the scenes were the same. There was no continuity between emotions/thoughts and what was happening. You were one place and thinking one thing and then somewhere else. The author even contradicted herself when Kiera told A'Ran, Talal's lovers name. The next time he thinks of it, he doesn't know the name.Nothing was really explained to Kiera, or at leas [...]

    5. The premise was good but poorly executed. Like that saying "S/He had good intentions." There is always a but at the end of that sentence that the determines what those intentions achieved. Like giving a kid socks for Christmas, a nice gift since it's cold and his parents might appreciate it (less clothes to buy), but the kid is ultimately disappointed. I, as a reader, had a similar feeling with this book. Like all the ideas and plot devices were to benefit the author and not the readership. What [...]

    6. Ok, I hate Lizzy Ford! Not really, but she totally ends up making me skip things I should be doing because her books are AWESOME! I typically do not like alien books ( I know it doesn't make a lot of sense because I read mostly paranormal with vampires, faries, trolls, etc) but this this book was great. I think I like it because the "aliens" in the book look like normal people but they don't speak the same language. There are some animals that are different than the earth's but that's fine. Anyw [...]

    7. Um, what? This is the first heroine I've read that I genuinely think may be TSTL. I stopped around 20% so what I'm going to write will have barely any spoilers.Heroine and her friend are chilling on Earth. The friend turns to the heroine and says, "Hey guess what? I'm getting married to this guy I met three months ago. It's this Saturday. Actually, I'm going far away for it, do you want to come with?" to which the heroine replies, "I'll think about it".This wasn't a good enough response for the f [...]

    8. Kiera is starving artist who lives with her newly engaged best friend.Only wanting the best for Kiera, her best friend drags her across the universe , without her permission, to find Kiera a man as well.Unfortuantely, she hooks up with a warrior named A’Ran, currently a prisoner in her best friend’s husband’s house. A’Ran wants nothing more than to reclaim his planet and restore it to its former glory. The planet requires A’Ran have a lifemate in order to bring life back to it and his [...]

    9. I would rate this more a 3.5 now for my review - First, with friends like Evelyn, who needs enemies? I cannot believe how selfish it was of her to just take Kiera without talking with her first. Especially somewhere where women have very few rightstalk about wrong. It is interesting how first impressions leave you thinking that she jumped from the fire into the frying pan that lands her married to a man she doesn't know, and yes, she didg how that happens. I enjoyed the book, but was surprised t [...]

    10. I started to read this book because I read some promising reviews. I was sadly disapointed. Other's may like this book but it just annoyed me. The main character is basically kidnapped by her so-called best friend and her husband. They take her to his home planet because it would be better for her. They just decided that her life wasn't worth living and that she could just leave everything behind. The best friends justification for the kidnapping was "you said you'd think about it [coming with he [...]

    11. When Kiera is kidnapped and taken into space by her best friend, she tries everything to go home. She’s astounded by her friend’s tale that her fiancé is an alien. Taken to his world, Kiera is dismayed to learn women are expected to be submissive. The men are warriors, engaged in a decades-old war with a neighboring people. Kiera breaks out an enemy prisoner so he can pilot her off-planet and she can catch a ride home. But instead, A’Ran recognizes her as his intended mate and weds her. N [...]

    12. At .99 cents, the price was good enough to make me willing to try an unknown. The romance was good and, above all, believable. Even if using the trope of the fated couple, the author gives the heroine a choice, the "hero" grew to understand that fated and loved aren't the same. Kiera is a likable character, strong, willful and with an artistic temperament. The minor characters are a bit more sketched, less rounded. (They function more as deus ex machina, rather than real people. A side note: if [...]

    13. Well. To keep the rant short and sweet - low two stars. I can't say I hated it but can't really say I liked it all too much. It's rushed in places; slow in others. It's got potential comic effect that comes to nothing and an obviously clueless heroine who after ages and ages of friendship realizes her best friend is selfish (a kettle-pot situation if I ever saw one). It definitely didn't click and felt vaguely meh?

    14. SoI just finished reading this. I feel responsible to communicate my opinion inmediately before my thoughts left my brain. Why? Well because I need people to know exactly how this book was limited by some issue that I do not know who to blame for. This book could have been so much more. Yet there are various aspects that seem to shadow what could have been a much more complete novel. So much potential thrown away by very bad editing or rushed writing. On the other hand, I thought of what I felt a [...]

    15. So song choice first off, as per normal that i do, which is to pick a song that somehow relates to either: how my reading experience went, how it somehow relates to the book:plot, characters, relationships, etc, etc. So song choiceTelescope Eyes by Eisley (by the way amazing band saw them in concert, it was AWE-SOME) but anyways, this is dealing with the relationship between Kiera and A'Ran. Okay so first thoughts: honestly? i was a little indifferent about this whole thing, well that isn't true [...]

    16. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the world created by Ms. Lizzy Ford and I adored the characters as much as I sometime annoyed by them. Kiera was an impossibly adorable and frustrating character. The first book to Anshan Saga was built in a wonderful setting yet frustratingly impossible plot. The way Kiera just let her friend dictated and manipulated her life was beyond ridiculous. And Evelyn was one of the most selfish being I had ever read. She made decisions that benefited only for hersel [...]

    17. I am not usually into aliens but I did enjoy this story. Kiera is kidnaped by her best friend and taken to another place so that she can meet someone who is possibly her mate. Kierra is strong willed and has ideas that do not follow the normal way of things on this distant planet. How will Kiera and her mate react when they meet?

    18. I really enjoyed this book. I found it as part of a 6 book bundle entitled - The Wrong Guy. I'm thinking it has some paranormal, but with interplanetary travel and wars, it also fits sci-fiction.Kiera is an artist that paints strange beings and strange places. Her career is barely starting with her first show. Having little money she lives with Evelyn who is like a sister to her and has always been good to her. For the past 3 months, Romas has also been living with them, or at least with Evelyn. [...]

    19. I like a sci-fi romance as much as anyone but few people can really pull it off without the story sounding like an excerpt from an old Star Trek episode.I've never read Lizzy Ford's books before and didn't even read many reviews for this book before downloading. I was captivated by the cover and the pretty eyes of the girl so I thought, well, she looks interesting, why not?So the story starts in modern day. I must admit I nearly put the book down after the fourth page. I found the dialogue a lit [...]

    20. This book didn't catch my attention instantly, and contrary to popular opinion, I didn't think the strongest point was its beginning or the main character. It actually started to grow on me after the first half - probably a bit too late.Overall, it was an enjoyable read. Were the characters annoying? Yes. Could they have been more explored? Definitely. The PlotThe connection between the real world and the 'other world' is supported by a very 'shallow' background story. So we go from a silly best f [...]

    21. This was an okay read for me. It's not a great book but some things kept me interested and reading.Overview: Artist Chick gets abducted by her BFF who is marrying an alien and decides that her bestie should come along to this alien world despite the fact that our Chick has just started to become successful in her art career. She comes across asshole Dude who is from another alien race and enemies to her BFF's Husband's Alien Race-- does that make sense? These two are fated to be mated, as they s [...]

    22. (I received this book for free as part of First Read giveaway).(This review may contain spoilers). So, this book arrived right before I was due to leave for work, so I picked it up and took it with me (since I like to read before starting work very often). Most of the books I've read recently have been really thick ones and it was kind of nice to have one that was more like a 'meal' than a 'buffet'. (Kindle novellas don't count).I've got to be honest - from the blurb about the book, I was sort o [...]

    23. Kiera's Moon by Lizzy Ford Kiera's Moon is about a starving artist who's best friend Evelyn kidnaps her and takes her across the universe to find her a man and a life. Kiera finds out herself on a planet were she is the smallest person there, art is considered too lowly a thing for women, and the women are subservient to men. Kiera is determined to find her way back to earth, to her life of video games and art. After all just got her first commissioned piece and a promise for more. In her hunt f [...]

    24. Kiera's Moon has become my second favourite book by Lizzy Ford the first being Zoey Rogue.I love the way the story captivated me from the first chapter to the last word. In fact I was looking for more when I read the last sentence and in true Lizzy Ford style it ended it with an emotional beat of my heart. I am anxiously waiting for the next book Kiera’s Sun which is out sometime this year. The story is set in a galaxy or should I say in The Five Galaxies far from earth. Kiera is kinda kidnapp [...]

    25. Lizzy doesn't disappoint again. I liked this story a lot. It was different. I also liked that you didn't know what was really going on until the later on into the story. It is nice to get the story as you are going like you are learning in the perspective of Kiera. I noticed a couple of reviews that said if you get through the first 100 pages and then you are fine. I disagree a hundred percent. I was hooked from the start of the series. It was intriguing to find out about Kiera's best friend and [...]

    26. This was my second time reading this book. Happy to say that this experience was much better than the first. It felt like I had missed some of the story my first time through it, even after backtracking a couple times to see if I had missed something. I had no such problems this time through and, I really enjoyed the read.I felt really badly for Kiera most of this story, starting with the crazy, overbearing, mother of a "best friend", Evelyn. Seems like everyone is allowed to make choices for Ki [...]

    27. What would you do if you found yourself on a spaceship, heading across the universe to be matched up by your best friend and her new husband??? Freak out?? Well that’s what Kiera did and now she wants to go home. During a party for her friend & mate, Kiera sees a prisoner and there is something about him. Thinking that the prisoner (A’Ran) is her only way out, Kiera sneaks off to find him to help her.Unbeknownst to Kiera she has agreed to be mated with A’Ran who believes she is the one [...]

    28. I like a romantic sci-fi and this was a sweet book. I liked Aran but he isn't my all time favorite. He seemed sotypical? I like macho guys, don't get me wrong, but of course he had to learn to bend. Isn't that what they all do? Otherwise they don't get together in the end. Meh. It's a conundrum. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I know some hated Evelyn but I understand what she was trying to accomplish. Kiera could be one of my top ten. She has a strong sense of her rights as a woman witho [...]

    29. I'm generally an erotic romance reader; don't stray very often. Actually did not realize this was not an erotica romance as it popped up my recommendations. But still really enjoyed this ebook. I'm a big fan of sci-fi romance and Kiera's Moon is definitely on the high end of that genre. A great balance of sci-fi and romance. Enough of both so that you don't feel like you are missing out on either. The book does start off on the silly side but improves by the time Kiera leaves Earth.Even though t [...]
