    1. *This book was provided to me in exchange for an honest and unbiased review*I found this book a lot of fun. I consider it lighthearted and not too angsty, which is great if your tear ducts need a break from all those intense new adult books out there. I definitely enjoy this style of romance now and again. They are refreshing and fun. There were a good few scenes that had me chuckling even. (view spoiler)[The whole lying about having a date and then having to find one was hilarious (hide spoiler [...]

    2. Love at 11 is a fantastic book with a peek into a newsroom. The highlights for me were the hysterical peeks into the ludicrous minds of the head honcho and what CRAZY stories they wanted Maddy to run with. At the heart of the story was Maddy and Jamie - a lot of friends, a little bit more, and what happens next stuff. which was fun to participate in. Plus, a little mystery thrown in with a good story behind it. I really enjoyed Love at 11 and am looking forward to reading more by Mari Mancusi!

    3. What a delightful pick me up read this was! Author Marianne Mancusi has a lively first person voice in her writing of NEWS BLUES! Her writing voice is so realistic to the character Maddy. Maddy's emotions really showed through, the humor, the sadness, the fear, and even those mixed feelings as she dealt with work, family and love. Bringing the family issues, inside the television studios and the suspense of the private investigation that Maddy and Jamie were involved in, made for a exciting read [...]

    4. Book provided by author for an honest reviewWhen I first read the blurb, I thought it would be a good novel, and it is. I mean, I expected an easy, entertaining reading, good written, with some laughs, romance, mystery, and action, and this book delivers all that, if you want to read a book with the previous characteristics, this is the one. Maddy is a 24-years old producer from a local broadcaster, who's aspiring to be a main producer in a major program; Jamie is a filmmaker and the new hunk ph [...]

    5. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This book never really took off for me. It rode the line between romance, mystery, drama and a little too close to an afterschool/Lifetime drama. Nothing wrong with any one, or even two but this story was all over.Things I enjoyed-*Jamie and Maddy's easy friendship and hilarious banter*Peek into drama filled fake news room-and the way their "hard hitting" stories were fabricated*Obsession with knock off purses-random yet very amusing*Maddy a [...]

    7. Two-time Emmy award-winning news producer Marianne Mancusi has out done herself with News Blues. She has taken advantage of her insights into the T.V. industry and made an amazing and humorous story. Maddie Madison is a new producer for News 9 in San Diego, CA. If it can go wrong it will go wrong for this heroine. I loved this book so much that I couln't put it down until I finished it.

    8. Maddy should prepare a speech to be awarded for "TSGE" (the stupidest girl ever) not Emmy! And Jamie is a douche-bag BIG DB. Plain and simple. No matter how interesting may be the subject if the characters are poorly oriented, coordinated, created the story disappoints and flops.

    9. Maddy is a producer for News 9 San Diego. Not quite the job at Newsline she had in mind when she graduated from Columbia 2 years ago. She’s stuck in a rut but all that is about to change when she has the week from hell. Her usual day at work is suddenly brightened with the arrival of new photographer (and eye candy) Jamie. It gets better still when she is called in to a meeting and discovers that he has been assigned to her for a new project. The buzz doesn’t last though, when she learns that [...]

    10. When Maddy Madison graduated from Columbia University, she was ready to save the world, be the voice of truth and ethics in journalism. She dreamed of working at her favorite network TV magazine, Newsline. Five years later at the age of twenty-seven, she still toils away at local News 9 San Diego as an assistant producer, where she produces fluff pieces of sensationalistic trash instead of the thought-provoking and legitimate stories that she yearns to get on air. So what's a girl to do when her [...]

    12. Madeline Madison is a journalism graduate from Colombia University who is now working for News 9 in San Diego. When new photographer Jamie comes along, Maddy thinks her luck might have finally turned, until she learns that Jamie is engaged. When her father invites her for dinner, Maddy is curious to know about the news he has for her. 13. Reviewed by Lissa Staley Posted February 13, 2008Contemporary Chick Lit | Romance Contemporary | Romance Chick-Lit Maddy Madison never imagined that her Columbia University journalism degree would lead her to five long years of "if it bleeds, it leads" TV news on a local San Diego station. Besides being assigned sensationalist and sometimes fabricated stories about lipstick that kills and deadly dishwashers, Maddy also must write segments for a narcissistic news anchor. 14. ***I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.***I have read some of Mari Mancusi's Blood Coven Vampire series, so I was really looking forward to reading Love at 11. If you are in the mood for romance, mystery, and lots of laughs, you should read this one NOW!!! The story centers around Maddy who is a television news producer at her local news station. She has dreams of moving to a bigger, more serious station, Newline, where she can produce serious stories and not the sensationaliz [...]

    15. Mari Mancusi is now on tour with CLP Blog Tours and Love at 11. This story follows Maddy, a producer for the local News 9 in San Diego. While she had high hopes for obtaining a position at Newsline, she hasn’t gotten any further than producing fluff pieces that either no one cares about or is dangerously close to not being factual. When she manages to snag a promotion and land a super-hot camera guy all in one fell swoop, Maddy wonders if her luck might turn around. But the promotion comes wit [...]

    16. Maddy has a dreame wants to be a famous producer for one of the big news stations. Instead, she is stuck at a 3rd rate San Diego station producing stories like "cosmetics that kill". One day while with her girlfriend in Mexico looking at knock off purses from her knock off guy, she stumbles onto a big storya story that can make her dreams come true. 17. Actually, that's 3.5 stars.Maddie and Jamie's story was off to a good start. Somewhere in the middle, the story started to drag, but picked up momentum again towards the end.Maddie's dedication to her work is quite inspiring. Sometimes, i get put off with characters who are highly ambitious and are too driven to succeed that they lose themselves in the process. Maddie isn't like that. She's ambitious enough to pursue her dreams yet keeps realistic expectations and remain grounded. That makes her [...]

    18. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I liked this book and overall give it 4 stars. That being said there were a few things that I didn't care for. A) The drunken one night stand. B) Maddie always (and I do mean ALWAYS) seemed to be crying around Jamie. What kind of guy is going to stick around for that? I mean, honestly it seemed every time they were together in the beginning (and towards the end) she was crying. Believe me, I like a good cry but for her to be cry [...]

    19. 3.5 stars actually. I received this book for reviewing purposes as an ARC. I'm not one to go through and tell all about the story so if you want spoilers or a synopsis look at someone else's review. Here are the points that brought me to my 3.5 star rating. Point one, there was so much inner dialogue I felt I needed a shrink. I think the inner dialogue made the story drag, especially in the middle. Point two, as a former journalist, I did love the realistic viewpoints on today's media and how EV [...]

    20. Love at 11 is a fun and easy read. It has a glimpse of everyday life struggles and love while adding some suspense and mystery. It also gives some insight to the world of news and advertising. I don't want to give away much of the story line but will give a basic overview of the story.Maddy (single and available) has always wanted to be a producer for Newsline but is stuck at News 9 writing crazy stories that are getting her nowhere. Jamie (engaged to soon be married) is a photographer/camera-ma [...]

    21. Love at 11 was a fantastic story about Maddy and her crazy life being turned upside down and then right side up. I have to be honest that it took me a few chapters to really get into the story line. I think this was just due to jumping from one genre to another so quickly when I got into this book. However, by about chapter 5 I was sold on it. I love how the chapters open up with emails. It makes it completely relatable because a lot of my days start out with work emails. Even if you have never [...]

    22. Love At 11 was filled with various real-life issues that can happen to anyone. It was fast-paced and very relatable. It had a good combination of comedy, drama, romance, and mystery. Not too predictable either. The news story being covered by Maddy was far more interesting than the relationship between her and Jaime. The focus of the book was certainly not the romance between the two. Nevertheless, it was a very well-written and entertaining story. As far as the character development goes, there [...]

    23. I tried to like it. Really I did. This story intrigued me because I am a fellow broadcast journalist but I just couldn't get into it. The characters had very little depth and almost non-existent maturity. Maddy's reactions to Jamie were infuriating. One second she decides she wants to handle things as an adult but then seconds later starts hurling insults like a middle schooler. I just couldn't respect her as a woman. As a journalist, she was slightly (very very slightly) more respectable. I won [...]

    24. Love at 11 is a fast-paced novel, short but moving. It touched real-life situations that many people undergo and can relate to like career pressure; the desire to pursue something you believe is right, being part of an extended family, falling for the wrong guy, and deciding to fight for the right to be together.Maddy meeting Jamie was the usual girl meets uber hot guy, girl drools over guy, girl finds out guy was already taken, girl accepts she and hot guy can only be friends only to find out t [...]

    25. *I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest, impartial review*Maddy is a producer at News 9 in San Diego who dreams of becoming a cutting edge producer for Newsline, where the storys actually matter, rather than being stuck with stories such as "Cosmetics that kill". Within the space of about a month her life drastically changes and that dream seems more possible than ever before, but there are alot of obstacles for her to overcome along the way. This was a good read, it had ele [...]

    26. *I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.Love at 11 was a fun read! It had romance, suspense, humor, and a little angst.Poor Maddy couldn't catch a break She had her parents' divorce (with a pregnant soon-to-be step mother younger than her- who she could relate to at one point), job complications, a new roomy sister addicted to drugs, and an untouchable irresistible new hire at work who became available and then wasn't. 28. *I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion/review*I found this book to be a pretty good and quick read. What I liked: The writing was easy to follow and kind of fun.The endingYou can tell that the author has some knowledge about TV/the newsThe plot was interesting and I enjoyed reading about Maddy and Jamie chasing the news storyWhat I didn't like: Maddy-I found her to be dramatic, whiny, and a girl-hater. Everything was always the girls fault, she barely put any bla [...]
