    1. Very interesting book, but not very well presented. It all but literally reads as 'Here's a fact about tortoises. Here's another fact about tortoises. Here's what this culture believed about tortoises.' It also goes off on a lot of tangents that are only very loosely related to the initial subject matter. I got the impression that the writer didn't have enough actual information to hit an arbitrary word count. But I did learn a lot of new stuff about one of my favourite animals, so it was worth [...]

    2. I am a big fan of tortoises hence why I bought this book. While the content was interesting it was a bit all over the place. There was not a logical thread from one topic to another.
