    2. The Valley of the Lost (Deltora Quest, #7) , Emily Rodda

    4. WOW. This is probably my favorite so far of the series. It has the best puzzles that I could not solve myself. It had THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST, and then laughed in your face about it. The book gave you the same urgency as any of the rest when it came to solving the problem to get the stone, but in a completely different way - no monster, no collapsing anything. The main characters didn't rely on their special magic item as a deus ex machina. The lessons were really dark, but realistic and truthful [...]

    6. Twisty-turning, suspenseful, puzzling, thought-you-finally-figured-it-out-but-you-were-wrong kind of book

    7. there are Interesting puzzles in this book and actually in these books, which involves readers mind and make it more and more interesting!

    8. This might be the last gem for the belt of Deltora, but it is definitely not the last step on the journey. The gems may all get restored to the belt, but they still need the heir, and Lief is so very aware of this as they travel towards the Valley of the Lost. But, like the rest of the gems, it is not just a simple means of finding where the gem is hidden – they have to battle the guardian to win it. Just, in this case, the battle is one of wits that the trio can’t afford to lose.Del’s sis [...]

    9. Where, oh, where could the Heir be? *slams head into the table*This one is a weak five, but I have to give it the five stars because even though I already knew the answer to the puzzle the narration really got me into it and made me super excited to solve it. It was a good puzzle. And a good trick. What weakens this story for me is that the first half felt slow. Lots of establishing going on: a set-up for the payoff with Dain (which i remembered during this book and wow I should have seen it comi [...]

    10. Unlike the previous book in the series, this book feels like it wastes no time in getting started and bringing the action to the reader. The only dull moment is the uneventful time period when they leave Tora and head to the Forests where the next gem is suspected to be located. From this point on I had a really hard time putting the book down. The guardian is so intriguing, and the puzzle is a brain-teaser. It is a little disappointing that someone the heroes know solved the riddle first but re [...]

    11. The Valley of the Lost is the second to last book in the Deltora Quest series. There are two very unexpected twists that make it quite exciting. I highly recommend this book and all the other books in the Deltora Quest series.

    12. loved it just another one in the series with more challenges they have to face loved it one of the best by far

Opal, lambang harapan, memberikan kilasan masa depan.4. Lapis L [...]

    14. Nice mix of mystery and adventuret as predictable as some of the Deltora books (and really, all have at least a few surprises).

    15. Emily Rodda did not disappoint in this book 7. Another great book with a fascinating puzzle to solve which the reader can also share in trying to solve. See if you can do better than the companions. They have pirates to face and then there are three other characters from previous books that face the companions before they enter the Valley of the Lost (one of whom will face death)and the search for the final stone. Can you figure out their part in this quest as it starts to approach the finish fo [...]

    16. The Valley of the Lost makes use of a devious vixen from the Shifting Sands, Nerida, to further the plot. The Heroes stumble across her and she begs to go with them for safety. They take her along, not telling her their mission or destinate until her constant complaining gets the better of them. Jasmine suggests they knock her out and then run like crazy, but Leif and Barda (lousy pascifists) elect to run off while she is sleeping. She follows them as they find the guardian of the diamond, a hum [...]

    18. This is tied with the Shifting Sands as the best in the series, and I think I liked it better than several of the others because it was less formulaic (like books 5 and 6). I also enjoyed the game/riddle aspect, and that the reader was given all of the information needed to solve the puzzle before the characters did. This had a more emotional ending, too. Solidly written, good plot--overall an excellent entry in the series.Rating: A heavy PG for some semi-graphic/gross moments near the end.

    19. At last the final stone to the belt of Deltora is within reach. The guardian and his game is the only thing that stands in their way. Now the quest is on to find the true heir to the belt. What I love about the series is that once you start to read it you are drawn into finishing it as fast as you can to see how it will end. You become bonded with the characters and cheer them on to fight and prevail.

    20. This excellent installment was quite ridden with frustration and disappointment at every turn. The best part, according to my son (and also to me!) was the solving of the riddle. They did it completely by their wits, no magic or powers of gem stones helped out. I can't believe I left the last book at home. Now we'll have to wait until we get back from vacation. :-(

    21. Yet another great book! Rodda's use of puzzles and thought really brought about a surprising twist in the story line that no one saw coming. The book was nearly flawless when it came to the coherency of the events that occurred and the evolution of the story line. Only one book left to finish out the series!

    22. The seventh, penultimate voumme in the "Deltora Quest" series. This is pretty much like the rest, save for a few surprises and a nagging question, concerning the true heir of Del and the meaning of the completed Belt. The puzzles were fun to try to solve, and the plot becomes somewhat more convoluted and darker with each boo, but that's all part of the fun.

    24. I loved this book. I enjoyed it more than the last one due to the increase in riddles. The games and riddles within this book were cool and the plot had a good pace. I am very excited for the last book and cannot wait to finish the series.

    25. This book was really good. I liked that the guardian could control his victims. I aslo like the end at in the valley with the guardian. The shock at the end with get anyone who ever this book. Only one more book left!!!

    26. Even when reading this book for the second time, it was shocking, witty and exciting all the same. This time I got out a pen and paper and worked out the answers to the riddles before the characters solved them. I had fun.

    27. I enjoyed with this that a lot of it was mind games. it was different from the other books in that it focused more on the mind games and that was enjoyable. It also wasn't too long so you didn't get bored of the mind games.

    28. This was probably the best adventure yet. The puzzles and the twists were fabulous and kept us on the edge of our seats. I read this one aloud to the kids and we all loved it and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. Fun series!
