    1. Just occasionally, it’s good for an older man like me to get away from the blood and musket adventure or crime thriller that would be my preferred genre, and settle down to read a good old fashioned romance, and that’s exactly what I found in this book. I read this novel from beginning to end which says a lot for it, because all too often recently, I have found the “Romance” genre to have been hijacked by being unnecessarily descriptive of bedroom intimacy, which quite frankly, turns me [...]

    2. A very high 3.95 STARS When I was reading this book, I kept thinking to my self this could be a 3 stars read, but I changed my mind. I've been reading romance novels for a very long time, with such brands as Lovesweft, Mills and Boons and Harlequin. Of course my style has progress since then but I do still read them now and then. While reading The Royal Sheikh, I had to take a step back from what I do like and realize the more I read, this book was reminiscent of a classical romantic read to the [...]

    3. The Royal Sheikh – An Arabian RomanceRating: 4 of 5 starsAuthor: Katheryn LaneFormat: KindleWorking for the UK firm Pillsby and Spooly to gain her qualification as an architect, Clare McKay learns that the firm is about to go under due to financial difficulties. As luck would have it, after meeting a fellow art lover at an exhibit, Clare sketches a few concepts for him to how she would have improved the exhibit’s layout to better highlight the subject matter while being consistent with its c [...]

    4. Reviewed by JenBook provided by the author for reviewReview originally posted at Romancing the BookI had been eying this book for a while now. The title itself brings to mind the Harlequin Presents line, which always features people from far off lands, like Arabian Sheikhs. I’d just finished reading Ms Lane’s book Her Latin Lover, which wasn’t bad, just a little lackluster. So I figured I’d better give her another try by reading The Royal Sheikh. And I wasn’t disappointed. The book is f [...]

    5. I have to admit, my idea of romance novels stems from some pretty racy items I read in high school that I have sworn myself off. I wasn't sure what to expect when a hardworking and passionate architect met a charming Middle Eastern prince but I was very pleasantly surprised! I found myself thinking about this book when I wasn't reading it and looked forward to turning on my Kindle to read some more. It is easy to discern that Lane is connected to the characters and the setting; her plot moves al [...]

    6. Thank you, Katheryn Lane, for the exotic adventure of Clare and Prince Rafiq of Bahir! Every girl dreams of finding their Prince Charming, Clare found hers purely by accident - those are the best kind. The setup for this story is believable. Rafiq is royalty and he's hounded by the press, but you'll soon discover in Ms. Lane's story, that despite his wealth and notoriety, he possesses the heart of a common man who's looking for 'the real thing'. He finds it, in Clare McKay. This tale is filled w [...]

    7. 3.5 StarsI'm not shy about my Sheikh obsession. The dark tanned men of the desert do freaky things for me and I usually need a bi-monthly fix. What can I say - mysterious men, with tonnes of cash and power drive me wild. Unfortunately for me, while reading The Royal Sheikh I realize how dependent I am on steamy sex scenes to thoroughly enjoy a story. Don't get me wrong, this story was enjoyable. Clare and Rafiq have a love story that builds around dishonesty, misunderstanding and barely containe [...]

    8. I love a good romance, and the Royal Sheikh had it all. Clare is training to be an architect and is very talented. She lives an ordinary life with her main focus on becoming qualified. Until one day she meets the delectable, Sheikh Rafiq Al Kahil, a very handsome Arabian prince. Unknown to Clare, he is the famous "playboy prince" who has been on the front pages of the tabloids many times. After meeting Clare the prince was smitten, she was unlike all the other women he had known, clever, smart, [...]

    9. Author: Katheryn LanePublished by: K.L.Age Recommended: AdultReviewed By: Arlena DeanBook Blog For: GMTARating: 4Review:"The Royal Sheikh" by Katheryn Lane was a real good romantic read for me. How this author was able to get this architect (Clare) and 'Middle Eastern Prince'(Rafiq) together was definitely a work of art. This prince had been known simply as a 'Playboy Prince'but was this all true? "The Royal sheikh" was a light read that turned out to be very sweet and romantic but not necessari [...]

    10. Katheryn Lane's The Royal Sheikh was full of chemistry and passion, and my heart went out to Clare from moments of meeting her. Rafiq was mysterious and handsome, and I was pulling for Clare from the moment they first met. The vivid details took me to the Arabian Peninsula, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters were interesting but not too perfect, and I couldn't wait to finish reading. An enchanting romance that warmed my heart! Way to go, Ms. Lane! Can't wait to read Ms. Lane's latest nov [...]

    11. I really enjoyed this novellaa charming old-fashioned romance. Katheryn Lane painted the world of the fictional land of Bahir with lovely imagery of the food, the desert, the souks. It was a relaxing, enjoyable vacation into another world. Her characters drew me in, and made me care about them. I haven't read many Kindle books yet, but The Royal Sheikh made me want to try more.

    12. This romance is a must read for the romantic at heart! I felt Clare's pain and joy and kept my fingers crossed the entire book that everything was going to work out for the best. This book is love at its best. A must read!

    13. Escape on an adventure to an exotic location, because it's easier to buy a book than it is to book an air ticket.Have a break, read a book!

    14. This is a super good beach read. If you look at my books, I'm not a reader of romance, but this was charming. I would certainly recommend it to the romance crowd.

    15. Good writerThis is a very good storyline. Kathryn Lane is a very talented author. She is always a very good read for me.

    16. I was advised that this was a romance classified as 'sweet' in terms of levels of 'page sizzling' content. It was indeed 'sweet', but it was also very sweet as in old-fashioned. Not that I have actually read any, but it did occur to me that this might be a very Mills & Boon/Harlequin-romance-type novel. It was probably typical in that the format was quite stereotyped and predictable – boy meets girl, falls in love with girl at first sight, does his best to find her when he fails to find ou [...]

    17. A sweet romance.Sparks fly when a puddle of water on a rainy night brings dark and sexy Rafiq into architect Clare's life. A chance meeting brings them together again, where they finally get time to talk and for Rafiq to offer Clare the opportunity to design his dream house. After learning that he is the Playboy Prince Clare worries that he is just playing with her so she tries to be all business. Reacting to her coldness Rafiq treats her as a business only but the passion simmering between them [...]

    18. I received this book to review. It was a typical romance novel however, it was set in the Middle East in a country called Bahir. A young architect was splashed by a limo that was arriving as she standing outside a restaurant in London. The man in the limo, the Royal Sheikh, was mesmerized by her and bought she and her friend dinner to make up for the splash. And it went on from there. He happened to see a drawing that she did on the back of a book and he asked her to design a house for him in Ba [...]

    19. "While The Royal Sheikh doesn’t quite stand out in the romance genre it was still pleasant to read about how Clare and Rafiq fall in love. The writing is well done. In fact some of the details in the story were actually quite interesting to read about and they were done subtly enough that people might not even realize they’re learning something new. So while it may not be the next great romance, for a first time writer, Ms. Lane is definitely on the right track."Rated 3.5 out of 5 White Rose [...]

    20. I'm disappointed in this book. The main characters are babies. They think when someone say "wedding" their getting married. When someone says "if it wasn't for you" they think that person used them. UHHHHH they were unbelievable and it's not even at 100 pages when they say "I Love You" they just met and they're saying it like 5 weeks they meet

    21. Not as good as The Desert Sheik but still a very very enjoyable read. The heroine annoyed me but to be fair they often do and if they don't they are usually too dull! The Sheik was wonderful and often brought a smile to my face. Great holiday read. So onto more Katheryn lane for me!
