    1. After I got the "main ideas" about the animus from volume 1, I found this volume slightly less interesting. I tore through volume 1, but stopped in the middle of volume 2 for several months. Volume 2 focuses more on examining literature for evidence of how the animus works and can be worked with. None of the literature examined was inherently interesting to me, which is part of why I got through this more slowly.
