    1. Not too shabby a textbook. Served me very well along my undergrad studies, in which I had three Microbiology courses (basic, applied and environmental), so it's pretty well-rounded. Nicely illustrated too, and easy to follow, and has also the bonus of some very interesting anecdotes and curiosities.

    2. An informative book for an introduction to microbiology. Detailed descriptions and diagrams, often more than necessary for me.
