    1. For a relatively slim book, this has been invaluable for research on bridal costume and weddings. The photographs and illustrations are lovely and carefully show the differences in shape and style of the wedding dress over time. When I was faced with an in-depth BBC radio interview on the history of white weddings this book gave me all the detail I needed.
