    1. Pete was only looking for the men who robbed him on the trail. What he found was Anne, a woman who didn't know her worth. But he would show her how valuable she was.Set in Wyoming Territory, 1886, I was set for a romp of a historical romance. The plot sounded fantastic and I loved the idea that Pete Jernigan wakes naked (after being robbed) and finds a way to get out of the difficult situation by using his head. I even like the plot twist that he is forced to take on another man's identity. It i [...]

    2. Good series to readThis would be a good book to read on its own or with the whole series. If you like characters that come back in the different stories, these books are for you. Also for the romance reader that likes some history with romance. I have read this whole series repeatedly.

    3. Great from the start western/mystery/romance! Loved every single character and the role they played in the story. Here's the jistPete wakes up with a lot of pain, can't hardly think straight and why the hell is he naked?! Whoever beat/shot/left him for dead had taken everything he had. Somehow, after some time, he is able to get on his horse (who just happens to have come back--smart horse, eh?) and begins tracking the distinctive hoof prints. Pete is in and out of consciousness and ends up at a [...]

    4. more like, Pete, Pete, and REPeat! This book drove me insane! The author focuses in on a thought or two, then repeats the thought five thousand times over. Additionally, many times these thoughts are contradictory, so you feel like you are in the mind of a schizophrenic. I understand that we are meant to understand that the character is feeling conflicted, there was just too much repetition. I hate to spoil (so skip the rest of this paragraph if you don't want spoiled), but for instance: Near the [...]

    5. The epilogue was short.I love cowboy romance stories.Found that this author has written the cowboy series.Wish I get more of this author's cowboys series book f [...]

    6. This book was really a really enjoyable version of love conquers all. From the moment Pete woke up naked, alone, and shot in the head, solving the mystery of who stole his money drove him into Wyoming and into the arms of his 'wife' Anne. Only she wasn't really his wife, she was the wife of Peter Warren, a man he found murdered. The only way to find out how love wins is to read the book. Of course once you start you won't be able to stop until the end.
