    1. Bill Bryson's Mother Tongue was a interesting, and in parts a humorous read. A lot of it I already knew, but there were some insights included in the book which still made it a goldmine for me to read about the language we use so universally. One problem I had with it was that while the examples used were good, sometimes he overused too many of them, often going for paragraphs on examples of what he meant, which I found easy to skim over and continue with the meatier explanations and theories in [...]

    2. A great book loaded with interesting facts you'll want to share with others. In my own book, Stranger in a Strangers Land: My Six Years in Korea, I cited this book several times while discussing the high demand for English education around the world and especially in Korea.
